if i was to add the speed rating formula to this it would break the field down to 10 horses

Can you explain "the speed rating formula" ?

after painstakingly writing down all the horses i then check them against my other list of the top two speed rated horses in the race…..
having a horse on both lists gives you these selections

for this threads top two speed raters system i will always use the top two

now i would like to point something out and give you a example..

if you use this site sometimes there are no speed stats,normaly maiden runs but if you come across a race with no speed stats then use the class stats,as a back up

above you can see the stats for todays race,notice only form,%of wins-horse name age and weight and class

so you know its a class two race so look for the horses that have ran class 2 and below,or closest to

firebet….roman republic—both ran in class 1 races

firebet won and roman republic came second

again i had no speed stats to work with so i look at the class rating and no horses have ran a class 1 race,but two have ran a class 2 they are orpen grey and red jazz

both placed 2nd and 3rd

Well done today Mr F, very nice indeed.

this is the second big win since 22/6/2009,the system takes ages to write all the horses down,then keep checking for non runners

but it does seem to work so far,was giving up slowly but only started with 100 points and betting 20-40 bets a day…….lost nearly half my bank before hitting this win ,but lets see how i get on over the next few days

speed raters do have a big part in horse racing but not just on there own,they need to be combined with other methods to ensure better selections,ie official ratings,form,course and distant
