you cant please everyone and if you are trying to then its flaud

you have gave us 4 horses which at win only is showing 12 points profit ,i am trying to understand the value bit you are trying to reveal so i will grab that book and have a read, i mainly do aw as i havent the time to do all the races everyday

i have started using gruss, but its time which is always against me.

you have inspired me in many ways, the main one being that anyone can produce their own figures and should constantly look for improvements by gaining knowledge

in 1 year i am able to make enought money which equates to working 40 hours a week paye, im not raking it in but comfortable and able to spend all my time with my kids, and its tax free

the point being we should all be learning from each other and gaining knowledge which will enable you to enjoy betting as a hobbie for which you get paid to do by winning ..

so please dont give up dave and we will all sit back and may learn something

i am very surprised that some tecky has not started a business selling bespoke excel databases to the racing communitys, i have spent a year takling this and it is only easy if you know what your doing

i reccommend a great book called….excel as my database

great book for the non teckys

didnt expect to see you on here dave, been following your free value emails when they come threw, last one was a great 16/1 winner which helped after a diabolical aintree.

your ratings are in my impression the best on the net,and the way you are always improving things. the gruiss software with your site is a step in the right direction and i look forwrd to following you in the coming years.

you must have a very impressive database team who knows there stuff

there are hundreds of ratings on the net, which to my knowledge do not perform well which is why many people dont understand there use,i must admit the first day i got your ratings i just started at the screen thinking wtf, but after a few emails from you and a few great videos i was soon able to understand your ratings.

good luck in the future dave, i am watching

this is already sold as a system, which i am trying to dig out, its called betfair horse power

warning, if all the bets are not matched you will lose big time

the idea is to bet above the odds, you use a table which shows you by how much each odds need to be upped by and as long as all the bets are matched you will make a profit

i tried this for several months and it does make some great profits but it all depends on the horse going up in odds and if this doesnt work and 1 horse is left with a huge liability and wins your buggered

i have loads of screen shots of this system if interested

it is the same theory as what you are trying to achieve, i would be careful of laying horses at such low odds as only a small percentage of the field will ever go that low, and to have a horse below evens is extremley risky

get your self racingtraders software so you can test your method with small 10p bets until you are happy with the outcome, betfair alone will cost you 2quid a bet

racing post say 0.2 which is why i question it

i work between 0.17 and 0.2 depending on race length

i dont think it matters if you use the same time for every calculation

when i use the 0.17-0.2 it does seem to work better against just using the standard.

i was just wondering what ever ones perception was on this matter

i tried to work out how they came up with this figure and when you look at how long a length is in meters/feet then work it into the distance you get a slightly different outcome were the majority are 0.2

so i assume 0.2 was chosen as it was the majority figure over the distance

its quite surprising how different tracks have different length times due to the record times of the races achieved

i have been doing the general speed figures since june 2010 and southwell out beats any aw track with the speed very rarely do i get a losing day at southwell

i use a beyer database and subscribe to the washington post so i run the uk horses throught the beyer then visit america and get the usa horses beyer figures .. this is a great way of spotting the usa speed horses against he uk ones

f.t.o runners as suggested do extremley well

and you are bang on with southwell conditions which replicate american tracks

anyway goodluck and ill keep watching

only yesterday i had this result using smoke n mirrors

    1 Max Laurie 33/1
    2 Bardolf 11/2
    3 Secret Past 5/2F

    max laurie was 33.28.33
flying award was embedded and lost

i have used this system since i got hold of it a year a go, it works great at big meets ,cheltenham ect..

would not use it everyday but the results are outstanding

i use it every week end and to say i have made a pretty penny is an understatemnt..

alot of people dont understand it but with a years experience behind me i find it very easy.

is it worth the money yes, downside ,extremeley time consuming as you need to watch the odds seconds before the off

if you have the money then formbet with out a doubt, the most impressive ratings ive seen with over 20 parameters to produce one figure..he knows his stuff

patternform if you want the free one, use the run to figure, or just visit the forum where the calculations can be found

the actuary like myself gives free aw tips and is pretty good for a free site

mines still in the making as i am trying out loads of different methods, including using different lenght times to distance instead of the 0.2 recommended.

adding both the speed and handicap figures ina sum of speed minus 100 add handicap minus 100 add 100 , the lowest two horses win most of the time

adding a daily variant to compensate for slow and fast times, trip handicapping and class ratings over class winning weights

i have to totaly agree that the lto figure should not always be used, i go back 12 months which is needed for some horses, distance does not seem to play a high factor , just because a horse as only ever ran over 5f that it should not be rated n a mile race

anyway food for thought, good luck
