ooh , id like to see him have a break then the owners(Mountgrange , i believe) send him over some hurdles to see if that amazing cruising speed can help him get his head in front in that sphere which would give him his confidence back.

As this horse is indeed abit of a rogue at the business end i’d personally love to see the likes of Ruby or possibly even better still Timmy try do a cheeky number on him , which im sure they could.

so if your reading Mountgrange – c’mon lets see it !!

(or do i actually know less about racing than i think) hmmm :?

well he was bought for sheik Mo but hasn’t even raced in his colours yet (the green jacket are the colours of Saleh Al Homzai). Was purchased by Mo before the Arc and he dosent exactly need the cash from another G1 success next year so my guess – it’ll be retirement for a life in fields with lady horses.

    sorry……….., no inside information here!!

you mention Graham Lee’s ride aboard INGLIS DREVER but what about Paddy Brennans ride on the same horse at Cheltenham this year?? – last turning for home after being slightly hampered by BJK’s fall and took off like the proverbial **** off a shovel up the hill !! spose you always remember the ones you backed better but i didnt think i had a chance of collecting even when behaving like a hot knife through butter in the last few furlongs.
Anyway maybe its the horse we should be praising more here – sure am looking forawrd to seeing that horse again!!

one of my fave horses was the french horse JAIR DU COCHET who unfortunately died in 2004 (i think) before the gold cup after beating Best Mate comfortably in the Peterborough chase , every race he won in England (quite a few) i was on and he jumped superbly at times just a shame i didnt get to see him in that years Cheltenham spectacle , magnificent looking horse and liked the colours too!!

be interesting to see if INGLIS DREVER is as good as he was at Cheltenham earlier this year , anyone think BLACKJACK KETCHUM would of beaten him if he stayed on his feet??

PIGEON ISLAND has rattled a hat-trick of late including an easy win in a class 2 last weekend fot NTD – has a magnifcent cruising speed and jumps well , needs to arrive on the seen late but with Paddy Brennan riding for NTD this year could be one to watch out for with Probable improvement to come!!

wont be backing him at the silly prices that will be on offer but can KAUTO STAR be beaten this year?? be interesting to find out!!

unforthunately i cant remember the track Poss Taunton or somewhere like that or the name of the horse!! good at this memory stuff aint i , but the jockey was Richard Johnson. was about a year ago – after a long 3 mile slog in bad underfoot conditions on bad horses too Dickie J used all his strenght to get this horse into first with a furlong to go with a 100 yards left the orse was practically at a stand still and looked like he had enough so about 5 yards from the line stopped and chucked Johnson off allowing the horse in second from some 10 lengths back to take the victory!! what made it so memeorable (apart from the track and horse) was the way the horse proceeded to have a little look at Dickie on the deck and trot off as if nothing had happened , if i didnt know better i’d swear the horse was whistling as he walked off!!
anyone remember that – rather humourous (unless u backed it off course)

    well,
my brothers a big Spencer fan but personally half the time i think he rides indeed more like Frank Spencer , the mans an absolute joker – dont get me wrong it looks fantastic wehn he pulls of a cheeky waiting ride but i wont ever be lumping on a Frank fancy untill he stops these shaninegans!!
Excellent Art – what was he doing , he got beat by the same horse in the same way about a month ago , so what does he do?? exactly the same bloomin thing!!

the guys got Talent tho!! but not as much as future legend (providing he stays fit and well) Ryan Moore.
Tell me what do you lot think of P.Robinson?? am i the only person that thinks hes a soooperb jock?? just a shame he’s coming towards the end of his career but i think hes got a son (Daniel i believe) riding out who i’ll be watching out for.

referring to the BASIC FACT race , the horse was not exactly a willing partner i dont think for AP but take nothing away from BESTOFTHEBROWNIES which finished strongly for D o REGANS first win in the Wylie colours (gonna be keeping a close eye on that team) just a tad unfortunate i took 5/2 on that one in the morning and returned at 9/2!! :(

nevermind ……….cant grumble at a winner!!

good uck with that card game Danish , 2 winners in your yankee – gotta be cash back at least??

    Fridays plays:

Sunset Boulevard:2.20 LING – could represent a touch of value on its debut run over hurdles
Just Stunning:3.30 LING – like the trainer, like the jockey……..always kep an eye on anything running in the Hemmings colours , wont be much of a price but dosent look to be much else in the race.
Dharori:2.10 Haydock – Does not look the strongest of maidens so by my reckoning if this M.Jarvis trained horse is half as good as most of his then it should go close.
    goodnight and…………goodluck

Ta very much for that Jim.

Had a few quid e/w way on jazzjam at 10’s ………..good ride from Thomas Richard there!! i thought (tho i would say that)…….compton court travelled well in the first at perth but found nothing……..beaten by that Twiston Davies/Paddy Brennan runner i flagged also…….dont think i have to tell you which one i went with in the end :(

Marb,………if you are gonna keep an eye on this thread then be careful cos my ‘HOT’ spells tend to last for a couple of hours at best and my rather Chilier spells sem to last considerably longer.

Levistski came in at a whopping 4/6 in my yankee……..thats adds a sooperb 20p or so!!

following on from my last post,T.Quinn is down to ride Jazzjam.but hes always referred to as Richard……..so whats the T all about?? always wondered , maybe one of you guys can help me??

my plays for tomorrow :Levitski – 3.40 font – big weight but looks decent for the big AP ,Jonjo combo

Compton court – 2.30 perth – has looked pretty impressive in 2 wins in ireland , would be wary of the Twiston-Davies runner tho (he looks to have a good thing going with Paddy Brennan – Top Jock?? this season)

Donovon – 4.00 perth – should be a nice trip for Mr Lee , however the NTD runner again looks good

    Winthorpe E/W – 3.20 Ponte
