This an interesting article of how the”spin” started:

I also agree that a “knighthood” was not warranted.

I saw Screaming Lord Sutch live at the Atalanta Ballroom Woking when I was a teen in the sixties. The YouTube video is a toned-down version of his act – he really was quite a scary performer to watch and the props he used would never be allowed today. He did attract band members that went onto greater things:

Apologies, I must have misread your post.

Don’t know if Southwell have ever run “bumper races” on their AW course either.

The “ssl” certificate for the site had expired after 3 months use.

It has to be set-up again by calling/emailing the “hosting company” :it does not renew automatically unfortunately. As the certificate is free of charge we really can’t grumble too much.

If a web site is not “ssl secured” all browsers will come-up with a warning these days to proceed with caution.

    This is sad news.

I joined the “TRF” in February, 2001 when “JTS” was in full flow.

He certainly could become lively at times – even when Craig (Daylight) made changes it would be a drama. Even in the early 2000’s he felt “TRF” was becoming too commercial and not to his liking!

Jim’s speciality was on the “AW” and do remember somebody referred to it as “sand donkeys” – he was none too happy with that description.

I wonder what happened to the likes of Pewter, Kathy, Escorial and many more from the early days?

    RIP Jim

Electorate have got what they voted for GoldenMiller34 and it is hard to imagine Labour getting it any better than the present Government in my opinion.

Any Government in power at present is bound to be castigated by various quarters.

(you’re) damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

“That may be so but what’s the excuse for rest of this shower of shite that we call a government then?”

Imagine if it had been the opposition in power?

God help us if it had been them trying to run the country it would be even worse.

I kindly you suggest you top-up your pension gap asap.

To get the maximum pension you need 35 years of contributions.

We are in troubled times and the door might be shut on this.

With the advancement of medicine people are living a lot longer and having a full pension makes a big difference.
