1. Tony Meo
3. Mike HallettThats good old Sergeant Cecil.
3. Luke Rodgers (Notts County)
But pictured playing for Port Vale.
True – bit of a tricky one cos he’s wearing a Vale change strip and the stand behind him looks like Meadow Lane
3. Luke Rodgers (Notts County)
2 – Ray Price (Paramatta Eels & Australia RL player)
Messi had another great year at club level, but looking back over previous winners of these things, in World Cup year, it tends to go to a World cup winner (OK Stoichkov in 94, and Belanov in 86 were exceptions, but this was back when they could only vote for Europeans)
Iniesta for me – think he had a better WC than Xavi, and he got the all important goal.
Given Sir Alex’s, (and seemingly all of England apart from Mr Capello) preference for playing Rooney as a sole striker, I dont think the bookies envisage Hernandez leading the line much.
Having said that, he looks like he could be a really useful ‘impact player’ (not sure I like that term, but it beats ‘supersub’!). Quick, skillfull, small – Premiership centre-halves wont fancy seeing him coming on after 70 minutes.
Mr Wales went on to streak across the one-mile section at the seven-mile stretch of sand, proving that speed is in the blood.
Scanned through the original article – now have the image of a naked man running across the beach having got off a lawnmower!! – only in West Wales eh?
