I love SYT, but you just go around lying about him. This is @ JG.

The mackinnon was on a dead track mate. I remember derby day very well, the track started off as good in the morning and it rained all day. By the time the derby was run it was about heavy, but when the mackinnon was run it was still dead, tending towards soft I think. Which translated into euro stuff is probably still almost classed as good.

Bullsh*t ! Get your facts straight!!! It was rated slow for the Mackinnon, check it out on the stats!!!!!Rain before the race and during it was downgraded shortly after!!! So dont call me a liar when you were to lazy to even check out the rating, simple go to ‘punters paradise’ and check out SYT and you will see!!!!

Well your basis for your post seemed to be Australian horses are known for speed rather than stamina. The aussie middle distance horse or stayer has never raced in England, So you Think would be the first ex-aus horse to do so and he fared quite well! Many reasons, firstly the prizemoney is so good,Europe is a long long way to travel, and for inferior prizemoney,Australia concentrates more on racing rather then breeding hence there are a lot more horses gelded there;so no need to get a name for breeding duties.Australia breeds more sprinters because the races are well catered for there and it gives the owners a chance to get a timely return on their investment rather than waiting for a 4yo,they can get huge prizemoney and sales related bonus schemes for 2yo racing.Having said that more middle distance and staying types are being bred now and a Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup have always been hard races to win.Australia has produced some great middle distance and staying horses over the years that were not rated, simply because they were not European.

    Presto

I think SYT can act in mile rather than 12F. AUS horses always have natural speed rather stamina!!!

Well SYT’s stamina wasnt too bad yesterday!!!! Go educate yourself about racing before making stupid comments it was 10f yesterday and the horse was going best on the line!

No there isn’t any hope of him Running in The Melbourne Cup as it is a handicap and he would get 60+ kg.It also goes to prove that Timeform ratings are flawed and biased towards European horses.Workforce would most likely have finished 2nd to SYT in the Cox Plate with Sri Putra about 4th or 5th. SYT got about 126 for the Cox Plate,134 for the Eclipse, you see they are basing the rating on Workforce. No one can tell me if the result was the same as yesterday in last years cox plate that SYT would have only gotten 126!

A few buckets of water:)Have a look at the Mackinnon Stakes to see if SYT can handle it,the track was rated slow but was actually heavy.Have a look on youtube,it is raining during the race and you can see pools of water everywhere. On the Mackinnon performance i would say he is the best wet tracker i have ever seen, never seen a horse go through the ground so smoothly, and well have a look at the acceleration at the furlong, amazing!

Wouldn’t dare take on WF over 12f! Keep on dreaming, keep on questioning SYT’S stamina,i only wish you were a bookmaker! Though that foray would be short lived!

So You Think won’t even be aimed at any group 1 mile and a half race in Europe, let alone the Arc – which would test his questionable stamina to the very limit. Pour Moi, Sarafina and Workforce, among others, would be too good for him anyway over that trip.

No, he will remain at 10f and his next race will probably be the Juddmonte at York – unless of course, Sir Henry decides to send Frankel there instead.

Questionable stamina!!! came from behind WF and was going away! SYT will beat WF at 12f he is the better horse, though some people can never admit they are wrong! WF was very game in defeat though.

Workforce was very game in defeat,he has certainly come back well,an article said SYT made him look ordinary! What a stupid comment! Think it may have been the Guardian.

Listen big mouth Mr Wilson,as Matt Damon said in ‘Good Will Hunting’….. ‘Do you like apples? ‘Well how do you like them apples’? :) that goes for the rest of the mugs who said SYT didnt have the stamina and Australian racing was inferior! Heres a towel wipe the egg off your face!

Is he vulnerable? In a word, no.They can ride him where they want to,he settles nicely when not too fresh and the POW run will have settled him a bit.

Yes,John Berry should stick to training, the man has never had a runner there to judge.Personally if i were looking for better value i would rather be backing Snow Fairy to run in to 2nd,though really it is a no bet race unless you like to take the shorts on the fav,Heffernan knows the horse will ride him a bit colder he will sprint quickly and put paid to them comfortably IMO.I would prefer to see Workforce first,to see exactly where he is at.

    Workforce drift is very worrying.

Stoutey hasn’t had a winner since the day of his five-timer on 11th June. Though several have run well in defeat, it is not up to his usual strike rate. Might there be a minor virus in the yard?

A similar run of poor form preceded Workforce’s poor effort in the King George last year. Although three year olds are more susceptible to minor viruses than older horses, Workforce now being a year older.

Probability is Workforce will run and will run well on Saturday. But it would not be a surprise if he doesn’t turn up or doesn’t run well. And that has to be taken account of in calculations.

An unwritten rule in punting is not to make excuses prior to the race! It is also not being very respectful to Sir Michael,do you actually think that he would run Workforce if he had a virus? That is why you get blood counts,to ensure all is well.He hasn’t had a winner for 19 days, well what a drought it is! I suspect you may be on Workforce and an avalanche of money has come for the favourite, why? Well Workforce was too short to start with on his one run this time in,and the favourite was a bit generous with that taken into account. In summary a convenient excuse if the horse isn’t up to it.
