    It was TEN years ago – I’d forgotten I’d even run a TRF BB until I was reminded of it on this thread. :D

    Hmm….how can I harmlesslly settle this once and for all so we can all move on?

    I vaguely remember meeting some TRF forumites at Towcester races once, I recall meeting Glenn and a few people from UBF at a pub in Greenwich once, I gave Glenn lifts home from a pub in Hammersmith and we had a meal at The Lahore Kebab House if I remember correctly, the real Rob Barta was a likeable guy from Texas who delivered pizzas for a living as I recall….if that load of junk trivia isn’t enough, I give up and shall accept being regarded as a clone of me instead of the reality which is….err….well, me.

    My desire to justify myself (never that great in the first place, some may remember) is now exhausted. :mrgreen:

    It was TWELVE years ago – does any of it really matter? Does it really cause angst this long afterwards?

    I do note that, as predicted by my friend Ross Banner, Betfair eventually became a ”one stop shop” sports bookmaker as well as a betting exchange operator, which makes some the derision at the idea back then seem a bit risible now.

    But even then – so what? Life moves on. :D

    They showed every race at Royal Ascot – not sure how sustainable it is long-term cos not THAT many people watch to watch live racing, but for Me, C4 Racing has NEVER been better. :D

    I’ll lay all the 1.01 about me being a clone that’s going – easy money. :D

    I could throw in the lifts home, the pub in Hammersmith we all had a drink in, a UBF get together in Greenwich….but am I THAT desperate to prove my ID so to speak?

    I can see how more money in pools make for more stable odds, but I still don’t see how bigger take-outs by the Tote operator help punters.
