She will get decent allowance in Japan Cup , how did Ravel beat her . I like to see race as that horse done nothing since .
Coolmore should save the airfare and emissions sending the St Leger winner over as that was where I read he was going . Zero chance in Japan Cup .

Nothing to worry Willie Mullins too much last few days , Cleveland was good last night in Moonie Valley Gold Cup but he turns it in a bit at times and I wouldn’t have a bar of him in big one .
Romantic Warrior class came through today in Cox Plate , comes from Godolphin / Darley family I see, from Newmarket Yearling sales . Zaaki ran so well, out wide , had to work a lot from draw but still stuck on , another 100 K in bank , 11 million AUD in bank , not a bad buy few years back.
Bendigo Cup Wednesday will sort a few out .

More Felons aka Scriptwriter ran a top race in Geelong Cup a few hours ago , 5 th only half length from winner , stormed down outside and looked winner at one point . Franked the Absurde formline . First 6 home all imports from Europe , Amade back to form at advanced age won it and Waterville 4 th so he’s got a race in him soon .

Most field are ex Euros or Euro / Japan trained , only 8 out top 30 NZ or OZ bred , they won’t go to Ascot as a lot been there already and been purchased for big money after for OZ .
Surefire won at Royal Ascot in 2021 , he has done well out of the Waller yard , that day at Ascot 17 in field , 7 now in OZ , two ran this weekend alone .Wolferton Stakes is another race gets cherry picked each year by the big owners .
I think Vauban should win and Mullins has a very good record in OZ , but 20 pounds on them , seems a lot . Joseph O’ Brien’s two ran good lead up races in Caulfield Cup if they can get in the big one they will go well imho .

I might be missing something but the race just run shows in his RP formline but the other race when the jockey messed up is not ,same with Fair Damsel. I’ve looked a couple of times so Iam sure it’s not there .

Deep fried termites id guess be high protein and low on emissions farm to plate , not sure if de boning would make them easier to eat .
Old Bulletin had a go at Wondai yesterday , 4th picked up 600 bucks so id guess he gets another go .
Checked and Mcfarlane still in training , maybe change of gear next up .

Scriptwriter has entry in Geelong Cup Wednesday , he has had a name change and is now More Felons. I think he will need to win and get a penalty to get in .

Kumbi was horse I was thinking of but wrong trainer was Ginger McCain , ran year after year plodding round the 4 mile plus races in early to mid 80s

That’s a great find that race AP , I got to thinking of the punters madly scrambling through the bins and shelfs in bookies after screwing up slips 4 out if they had backed Memberson and given up . Bar Memberson that day the second quickest on course was the guy in wellys running in front of the 3 Rd last as field approached . Plundering stuck around a bit as was 4 th in 84 Whitbread and still going 4 years later .
There was old plodder Neville Crump trained ran in that race year after year , ran in all those 4 milers , name escapes me now and it’s bugging me . Used to back it a lot , it will come back to me .

Really enjoyed the write up AP Racing , I was at Sandown for the same 3 mile 5 Chase Inchcailloch won the year after , he fell late on in that race though .
Looking at the old racebook Fujiyama Crest ran in the Winter Novices Hurdle that year .
Loved Sandown in the 80s and 90s , I hadn’t been for twenty years but was back in UK late last year and for months was looking forward to going back to Sandown , only meeting that was on while I was over and I managed to get to it but it was canned after 3 races , I was gutted . I will get back there one day .
So many horses stick in my mind from those times at Sandown , Memberson was one I liked in those staying chases there , Iam sure he was blind in one eye that horse .

    Thanks Archipenko .
Breakup goes in the Caulfield Cup Saturday , 7 lengths off Equinox last time in June . Off 55 kgs he must be a huge chance . Nothing in that field would get within 10 of Equinox ..

Sounds great Archipenko , I have looked up Tokyo track on you tube and that looks great . I found punting at Happy Valley and Singapore easy to navigate with English form guides and punting slips but looking up Japan it looks full on Japanese form guides , Japanese betting forms , machines etc . What was it like ?? . Iam quite happy to go just for experience but nice to have a few Yen on each race .

I remember years ago got my kids to stand next to big termite mound for a photo and they danced around as the termites attacked their toes ,from the life in the termites I’d guess it was a younger mound on the way up .
Balmerino had his first 19 starts in NZ so the Kiwis will claim him . The big Kiwi OZ racing dispute though is Phar Lap .
Wrens Day went down by a nose in Mango Cup but I see a horse called Motamayez won at Emerald , ex Roger Varian trained . He has worked hard in OZ , 40 odd starts in couple of years . Emerald has advice re termite checks when buying a house at location in case it’s half eaten , and the world’s biggest replica Van Gogh Sunflowers Painting .

According to Williams , AF ground bit fast but went ok even if last, tough gig taking on OZ sprinters in that .
By sounds of his comments , Autumn , easier going , longer trip .
Won more for 12 th yesterday than winning July Cup.
Might see what shes quoted for Doncaster Mile in April .
Land Legend fantastic win in first , stable know how to bring them to OZ off the plane , El Bodegan was superb last year in Cox Plate and Iam sure James Ferguson was in charge of Polarisation when he won Syd Cup ( inc the void one a week or so earlier )

Tbf to Dettori maybe the retirement thing got on a roll , admittedly driven by him as well then hes got to a point where it was oh **** i dont want to go , how do i reverse out of the cul de sac situation . Eventually he had to front it . It is a bit embarrassing for him I suppose but good on him following his heart .
Just next time dont do last this last that etc etc etc .
Wasnt Spenser retiring at one point , he has been seriously good form in OZ and Stateside last week or so . Love the way he rides .
