Hes all over the show , was talking Ebor few weeks ago , then 0 to 100 in next few weeks , concerned about ground on the horse but took up to week or so before Champion Hurdle to rule out a kamakaze racehorse out of a Champion Hurdle on biggest stage . Then spoke to Moore and decided to spell him . So Ryans training him ?? . Honestly the diverring is quite funny .
I really hope though he comes out and bolts home whatever race he goes in , whenever that may be .Hes unbeaten at 6f so July Cup out sadly , way too risky .
Hes a wonderful horse , i look forward to his races , but blimey i remember See You When but he did have glass legs , this is unreal .Good decision , he ran too often over jumps and lost his unbeaten record as a result , dont make same mistake twice , unbeaten on AW flat and turf flat , must be a November conditions race on all weather , preserve that unbeaten record .
That is very sad , some of those National winners live to a decent old age .
If the field holds up it looks a cracking race , good mix of all different formlines , ages . Would love to see CH bolt up . It will be tough though. If CH dont win id like to see Al Aasy or Burdett Road pick it up .
Looking forward to the race .Couple of ex Ballydoyle horses go round in The Chairmans at Randwick tomorrow , Changingoftheguard and Star of India .
Both gone ok in their time in Oz, Star of India had the better results overall.
Its the second horse called Changingoftheguard from Ballydoyle to end up in OZ , the first one ran 2nd in the Ebor , had one run at Caulfield in 2009 but is now listed as deceased .I had Private Life at 66 to 1 last year four months before his Caulfield Guineas win , my wife recorded me and my mate cheering it home , memory will last a lifetime ,just lasted .
Not a winner but i backed The Refrigerater in the Cesarewitch at 100 to 1 each way , Jopanni ran out first sight of running rails , left it lead from there until under furlong out , run out of it late into 5th !! .Double Dutch won .
Both times my involuntary instinct was to start banging my fist onto the floor to make the horse go faster.Just had look on you tube at Towcester and various uploads from Espmadrid came up , had to turn it off or my night be gone , so good watching old races back , that’s such a brilliant channel Espmadrid.
Strange i find the horses that stick in the mind as you age , the one horse i can remember backing there in all my visits with my Dad was a horse called Christian Soldier in a seller , I think it was first race of the day on a mid winter Saturday .
Didnt win . Why i remember it ive no idea at all , but it was a grey old day .Last comment has put me off my bangers and mash tonight !!
Hope it dont close , always saddens me when a course closes , but the viewing situation does look odd .
Used to enjoy Towcester ,was doable for an evening meeting from London . Good viewing . Super Sausage Cafe near by was good too .
“The world is his lobster” , Arthur Daly one of the greats of British Industry .
How did the computer flash up Guineas instead of Dante , there would have been a confirm button , are you sure kind of thing , most systems do when cancelling something important .Couple of turf bred did well in WC , i think that dirt at Meydan bit easier than the US dirt .
I had a 100 to 1 futures ticket last Melbourne Cup on Meydaan , he run well until stamina gave out , he ran a cracker last night . Crisfords gotbthe horses peaking perfectly on WC night .The difference is as pointed out above Ballydoyle have a commercial reason to hype a horse , Henderson does not . Bar advertising his stable that is .
Ombudsmen and Calandagan just so good , but also great effort to get West Wind Blows back so good .
Victoria Road got his first win since Breeders Cup today , top weight Doomben race 2 , led out and stuck on very well .
Presenters remarked how well he looked in paddock . Paid 9s .- AuthorPosts
