“ Not saying Starmer will necessarily obtain a Blair 97-style landslide, but it’s going to take an unparalleled MSM hatchet job to get the Tories back in now, I feel”.

It’s Labour’s to lose Ian, the best thing they can do for themselves that is is to say and do nothing.
As they won’t be able to, once they start opening their traps they will be falling in all sorts of holes they dug themselves. But the pendulum has swung from the last election with no Corbyn and a much weaker cons party the main factors.

Another of your comments, and it shouldn’t be like this “ but it’s going to take an unparalleled MSM hatchet job to get the Tories back in now, I feel”.
The left say MSM is right orientated, and the right say vice-versa. Interesting, as both suggest MSM are influencers when they want to be, and this is a big bug bear of mine.

They should just report, and that’s it no opinions, no pieces told like a story and adding their two penneth which may not be true.

What a touch Ian and ap.

On the dogs in 2009 I done a 50p straight patent forecast totalling £3.50.

All 3 came in with forecast payouts something like £18, £20 and £22.

With a Coral bonus of 10% it all came to approx £4,500. As I waited by the payout counter for what seemed like an eternity, they offered and I agreed to take it home in cash which they put in an envelope I couldn’t hide anywhere, and thought all eyes were on me for the next hour until I arrived home.

Bought a TV which I still have today, paid off a loan and with the new TV got SKY, which I cancelled five years later with their price hikes.

I detest the blameless hypocrite and hope he never comes back.

Meghan’s probably already making plans to divorce him once the US gets fed up with the privileged whinging victim.

    Loves his family?
He said the other night that the RF weren’t racists and it was the British press who labelled them that, when he said it was ‘unconscious bias’, and what the bloody hell is that.
So he really protected them then and didn’t put the press right and has left it two years to say this bit while the RF have been on tenterhooks.

That dismissal of the Queen’s lady in waiting was disgusting, but as a result of Charles and William having to be seen to do something and distance themselves.

That really was an error on their part how they behaved, guilty before innocent, but were shitting themselves something seen as racial may have landed.
I hope they have learned from their too swift an action too!

Back to the ginger twat, he now is apparently below Andrew would you believe in ‘popularity’ ratings.

Anyone defending him, liking him, you may want to review your values too!

Although I suspect people that like him are into minority groups as well.

Put this in here as connected to the thread.

The UK economy grew ‘unexpectedly’ in November, surprising analysts.

Not the top headline it seems for MSM for this better news.

And I always thought religion was supposed to be the great divide!

Thanks for your balanced post Ian.
While you say you are horrified about Patel or Braverman supporters, the same people will also defend this country to the hilt both verbally and more importantly physically, so while we are a little different in our ways of thinking, you do need us and won’t survive without us!

Indeed as we see this left liberal government take us more down the pan, and pandering to the minority groups (LGBT painted police cars WTF!) the silent majority are getting pretty pissed off with things I can tell you.

The so called insult (I thought I could put much worse) are more borne out of frustration as it’s these people taking this country down the road to oblivion and I really couldn’t care if I hurt their little feelings, bless them.

If your out then bye, that’s one less on the left and equals it up here a little! Yes I am here but appears there are too many lefties tapping away on places like these where they should be out making this country great, and doing their bit, whatever that is! Is it a bit, or really nothing of value?

But in truth they just want the country to fail just to prove a point. Bar the NHS, that’s what the strikes are about.

Steeplechasing, quite simple really without knowing them I like them as feel what they are doing and how they are doing it is right.
But even then with their straight forward tougher no nonsense attitude, there’s more around them who’ll ensure they don’t get things done.
We have a left liberal government so they’ll talk but they’ll be no action unless you are woke etc as everything there is going through, and unchallenged.

Hello Steeplechasing, go on what do you think I like about them because whatever I write they’ll be half a dozen weak lily livered on here who will tell me where I’m wrong because I’m heartless etc and I will be waiting to be labelled the hard or far right just because I like people who I feel are standing up for and want to protect our country in the first instance.
And if people like civil servants are standing in their way and they want to kick their arses then great.

I don’t like Theresa May, cutting police numbers on her watch, effectively abandoning us to the drug gangs that have moved into most neighbourhoods.

The worst PM ever, and the fact she is still in Parliament influencing decisions epitomises just how bad things are.

Well come on then Richard what’s your solution to stop them coming over on boats and killing themselves. What deterrent do you have. How would you stop the boats?

But at present they know they’ll get processed and eventually get in.

The Banks have been opening bank accounts for them, without ID! Would you believe!

Well you must be very naive if you don’t know who is arriving Richard. A quarter alone are from Albania where there isn’t a problem.

Time for you and others to get your head out of your righteous sand.

I like her, but fear the noises behind her who are supposed to be supporting her are false and she hasn’t got the backing she needs.

Look Richard, nothing is going to stop the small boats coming across and more lives being lost unless you have a strong deterrent.

Remember, nearly all these people are economic migrants and were not in any danger in their own country, or countries they have travelled through to get here.

These people ARE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, and to add there are some very dangerous people in amongst them.

Once the flights start and people coming here are whisked away and processed offshore, then virtually overnight the boats will stop coming when word gets back they are not being put up in 4 star hotels anymore.

What is your solution then, or would you rather people continue to die making the trip across the channel?

Sorry, but I find that vile!

    Gladiateur wrote,
“ wouldn’t put it beyond the media to do a hatchet job on Starmer and Labour in order to get their beloved Tories back in again. In fact, I’ve already backed the Conservatives to win the most seats at the next general election”.

I remember during the 2017 election where May called one early just to gain more seats she hoped.

About a week or two before voting day, as the news started with it’s opening headline music, the BBC showed May turning up at a theatre for campaigning, having to go round the back and was met by a solitary loud boo. Then showed Corbyn turning up at an outside gathering where there looked to be thousands and all singing to the tune “oh Jeremy Corbyn (repeat)…”.

Just that short piece from the BBC of literally seconds would have influenced people where many like sheep like to go for what seems like the most popular choice.
That election finished much closer than it should have been, mainly due to the ‘BBC effect’.

They don’t report anymore, they provide their view, their storytelling, their agenda.

    It’s Labour’s election to lose.

The more they say, the less likely they are to win. That’s how good things are!

Expect surprises, the unexpected etc, but the world will be a different place in a year’s time such is the rate of change.

I couldn’t make a call on what will happen now, such is the uncertainty thrown at us from all quarters.

As you say Richard it would be madness for party’s to show their hands this early. The world and even closer to home will probably look quite different come the time near an election.

If Farage enters the arena it will cause some turbulence, but whether that will translate into any real shift to affect results?

There is suggested strategic voting between Labour and the LDs to defeat the tory’s. If the polls stay as they are, Labour could just do it on her own.

So much to go though before ‘the event’!
