Kinscem, a great filly/race mare albeit in fairly humble racing nations, look her up

that result is wrong, it doesn’t really bother me and you understand why the young man didn’t ride as well as he perhaps could have done but it was there for all to see. I watched it at doncaster breeze up sales in a room full of notable trainers including those who also trained over jumps and it was quite clear watch they thought about it…

The fact that Drowne has ridden the filly in all of her starts not to mention many times in work makes the decision seem all the more bizarre. Its not like Charlton has jocked Drowne off before in big group one races eg Patevellian, Avonbridge etc Furthermore he remained totally calm on sakhees secret in the July cup. Drowne has also remained very loyal to charlton for example choosing 50-1 Avonbridge over 22-1 shot Pastoral Pursuits in the July Cup two years ago. With all this taken into account one can only assume that the owners applied pressure on Charlton to switch to dettori, who is certainly not the best jockey around

There is little doubt that Hala Bek would have beaten Sir Percy, it was a shame that the jockey who is normally so calm and methodical unbalanced an already green horse at such a vital stage. What’s more of a shame is that he’s gone from one of the most efficient and classy operations in the country namely Michael Jarvis to the shambolic Godolphin team.

it must also be said that the race looks very attractive what with the rest of the opposition. There is no doubt that Henry would be far and away the class horse in the race. Furthermore it can be argued that the the mile and a half at Epsom is pretty easy and on firm ground the free wheel round the bend into the straight might just conserve just enough energy for Henry to see it out. Also can anyone argue with John Magnier, very possibly the shrewdest man in racing with an unrivalled knowledge of pedigree’s and bloodstock

though fleeting spirit is a serious force over 5 what with the fillies and age allowance I struggle to envisage her beating the likes Sakhee’s secret and Takeover target over 6
