“Would it be realistic to supplement Lulamba for the CH 2026?”
I think it’d be more realistic to supplement Old Park Star instead. He’d wipe the lot out.
I agree Astralcharmer. The stats of Constitution Hill’s falls over white padded hurdles stands out like Jürgen Klopp’s teeth. The horse can still jump fine but the hurdles are affecting his judgement. Even The New Lion seems too distracted by them.
Constitution Hill won’t die from a fall because he knows how to fall now

I’m hoping Constitution Hill will run in it…

Marine snail more like…
If he does continue to keep running, he strikes me as the type who’ll suddenly turn up at big odds but will quickly lose form again. Having said that, he does appear to be a bit ropey.
I like to think that taking CH back to the Flat might, theoretically, work like a factory reset/restore point so to speak. Perhaps this could plant a seed in the horse’s mind to, maybe, approach hurdles the way he did when he first made the transition from Flat to Jumps…
Agree Ex Ruby Light. Didn’t make any sense.
Gutted for Sir Gino.
If I didn’t know that the Brown Advisory was a horse race, I’d have sworn it’d be a poo test for bowel disease.
The forum bowels are probably blocked with all the negative cack certain members are posting about Constitution Hill.
Well, whoever gave the go ahead to introduce these white hurdles must’ve had **** in their eyes.
You look at a colour test and white (along with yellow) stands out the most prominent against a dark background. White appears to look nearer than other colours. Surely this is causing the horses to jump earlier than they need to … especially that they have panoramic vision. This makes their vision of depth weaker than humans. It is for this reason why I strongly feel why this affects horse and jockey.I’m from Wolves and the snow what we had was rather crusty and stubborn. I wasn’t surprised that the meeting was cancelled.
“I did think that the new white fences were the problem but watching the horses jump them over the past few days has made me realise that all the other horses seem to be fine with them.”
That’s because very few horses jump like Constitution Hill. He jumps with a long, low trajectory … giving him almost no margin for error. These awful white hurdles lean forward an extra couple of inches or so. The tops of these hurdles are solid padding as opposed to a row of twigs. I’d bet that these ghastly hurdles would affect any horse that has a similar jumping style to Constitution Hill. Personally, I’m staggered that racing officials are so bloody slow to fully realise this.
CAS … heart attack on a plate.
Just fish and chips for me. A marriage made in food heaven. I don’t mind thick Batter as long as it’s crispy all the way through!
If Kabral Du Mathan runs in this, then he’ll be my choice. There are shades of Thistlecrack about him.
