Catterick 15:15
Prince of Dreams 6.0 (Coral) 32 points win
Le Bacardy 13.0 (Various) 4 points win
Probably add another tomorrow morning depending on prices.
60.75
Blue Wave wins going away.
Dewala 2nd.
+96.75
Woah, it’s been almost a year since I started this thread, time flies.
Southwell 2:40
Don’t think
Luv U Whatever
will cope with the penalty, and I’m especially not tempted to trade at 4.0, not convinced on
Scottish Boogies
form over this distance either.
Lexington Bay
will most likely be thereabouts but is one paced lately and lacks any venom, plus the declining mark puts me off.
Dewala
is tipped to do well but this one likes to take it from the front and with the draw she has, it might be difficult to get infront and across to the rail. However, I’ve been reviewing the tapes and she does get out quickly.
Blue Wave
is a strong finisher and ran away with it last time out, and off the same mark I’m thinking can do the same.
Future Security
seems just in this for the run,
Royal Alcor
has been facing tougher opposition than this, but has also been finishing 10 lengths off the leaders and seems out of contention. Also, the inexperienced jockey puts me off, even at 11/1.
Blue Wave 3.75 (Coral)
29 points.
Dewala 8.0 (Various)
12 points.
I’d back Blue Wave until 3.0, wouldn’t go lower. Only doubt is that it’s unproven on the surface.
Of course after writing all this, Luv U Whatever will win by 16 lengths

Bets for today (£14.50 already in WHills from yesterday)
4fold – £4.50 Win
2:20 Chepstow – Tafawuk
3:00 Mussleburgh – Frontier Fighter (NAP)
3:10 Lingfield – King Olav
4:00 Mussleburgh – Gandalak (NB)Lucky15 £0.20 e/w (£6.00)
2:00 Mussleburgh – Rangooned
2:50 Chepstow – Pandorica
3:40 Lingfield – Arctic Lynx (IWAC)
4:00 Mussleburgh – GandalakI think your system seems to work better over the shorter distances. You seem to be pretty consistent in the sprint races
Every bookie (that I know of) will allow a Lucky15 mate, its hard to choose a ‘best’ one for the returns though. However, I think some bookies offer 20% bonus if all horses win, and %10 bonus as a consolation if only one horse wins. I usually go with BetVictor.
You’ve got Ready in that race
And yeah maybe so, I just like the horse. Backed it twice before where it’s returned me some dosh, consistent sort so I’d always have it each way especially at anything over 10’s. Sometimes I just pick based on a hunch, which probably isn’t the best system to go by, but it has it’s moments.
Back again.
Today’s selection comes from the 16:50 at Lingfield. Skytrain gets the nod from me. C/D winner, and always in the running, especially being placed or a winner over the last 6 outings. Fanning/Johnston combination and a price that I feel is great value, if only for a place.
16:50 Lingfield – Skytrain 12/1 (StanJames)
This one will do for me.
Good luck with your bets!
Ah right fair enough, well I’ve just backed your lucky 15 for 0.10p each way, est returns of about £2000 or something ridiculous, so we’ll see what we can rake in today!
Good luck on your bets!
Ah okay thanks for that, it’s a big help. Is there exceptions though? I.e you say anything over 60 days is discarded I assume.. Yet Jessie’s Spirit hasn’t ran for 573 days?
Hi Hovis, been following this for a while now and just been using it to back my own selections. I.e, if we both have the same selection, i’ll definitely take it.
Been returning a steady profit, and whilst I appreciate that you wouldn’t want to reveal the method in the madness, I was hoping you’d be able to give some insight into how your system selects the horses? I’m hoping to design my own system, but deciding which parameters to collect data for is proving difficult.
You get some pretty good winners, especially on the flat, short distance sprints.
Thanks in advance.
Where are you getting the ‘one point equal to one length’ from? Is that from how far beaten they were in the previous race?.. Forgive me if it’s obvious, I fail to see how you would like that to be calculated.
yeah just go to http://www.racingpost.com and click on ‘Cards’, then select the racecard that you want to view and it comes up with the horses in that race. Each horse has boxes under it to like add notes and stuff, and there’s a box there to eliminate the horse from the race.
Hannah’s Turn nowhere to be seen, Equity Risk 2nd.
+£80
That’s it for today.
Sod it, work is dead and I’m bored as f%%k!
Like the look of Equity Risk at Wolves today, races in the 4:50. Won over C&D in November last year, and even with minimal improvement, has strong claims to take this IMO.
