I’ve gone for Quiet by Chance at 14/1. It is clear that the horses of Colin Tizzard are flying at the moment. He is gone up in the weights, but still fair in my opinion. His last two races at Ascot were very good. Won a listed race quite easily and was second to Sire de Grugy, beating Vaniteux. Those results were over 2m1f, so my only concern whether he can see out the trip.
I’ve also backed Sausalito Sunrise . I think he can defy top weight in this field.
You were a bit unlucky with Captain Von Trappe, Venture to Cognac. He was cruising along until that mistake at the second-last.
Bryan Cooper mentioned the Mares Hurdle as a realistic goal for Cheltenham.
Sempre Medici and Ainslie in the 14:10 handicap. Sempre Medici is top weight, but I think he can be good enough in this field. Ainslie ran a very good race at Cheltenham two months ago.
Thanks guys. Great start for me with Airlie Beach en Apples Jade. Very game performance by Apples Jade. Vroum Vroum Mag came very strongly, but Apples Jade fought back!
I’ve gone for Airlie Beach in the novice hurdle at 13:10. Think she is overpriced at 9/1.
Apples Jade in the 13:40 for me. I think 2m4f will do her good.
Henryville and Astracad for me
I agree, I think Ar Mad has more to offer then this 4th place might suggest.
Great race. Good return to the racecourse by Ar Mad.
I will stay loyal to Ar Mad.
Ivanovich Gorbatov is also struggling to make an impact. On the other hand; horses like Sceau Royal, Frodon, Clan des Obeaux – who all were very easily beaten by Apples Jade last spring – are doing fine.
Empire of Dirt for me here.
Well done Raymo61!
Apples Jade was a bit unlucky with the fall of Petit Mouchoir.
