What a nightmare I had placing, or rather not placing, my
competition choices. Even then I hadn’t added the last race.
Thankfully Tracy gave me a heads-up. Bit embarrassing but I’ve
lived through worse. I’m getting my choices in tonight so I
don’t become a double eejit

I agree Glad, there’s always that consideration, It begs the question,
who actually runs the country. It’s the men behind the men in grey suits,
The laws are brought in as freedon “within ths law” but they are also a
framework of free speech that’s tailored, for those and such, to control
“cancel culture” and laws that limit public protest or criminalize speech
“deemed” offensive or harmful causing a shift towrds a managed speech democracy
which suits some more than others.

Richard “But it was just some bad words on social media. Shouldn’t the police be investigating real crimes? This is a threat to free speech! I think that’s how it works.”

Free Speech, it’s a wonderful concept Richard, I think we’re half way down the
slippery slope though. Speech is limited by laws brought in by the Govt to cover
harrasment, public disorder, defamation and terrorism. When they (the men at the
High Table) wan’t something or someone out of the way, they manage to fit speech,
or whatever, into one of those boxes

Darren, I’ve backed Aldrich Potgieter quite a few times , I
always expected him to come good. I left him out these last
few weeks but I see he’s 4 under after 16 holes. He was
generally between 40/1 and 60/1 but I saw Bet365 pushed him
out to 70/1. I’ve taken some of that. Whether he can get
the job done is another matter.

    Aldrich Potgieter 70/1 4 places Bet365

That’s a shocker Darren, you’ve hit the post and the bar a
good few times this year, your luck’s bound to change.

That final round with the fitzpatrick brothers was a nightmare
to watch, I thought they had thrown it away when Alex hit it into
a bunker off the green at the 18th, when they needed a birdie, but
what a shot from Matt, 36 yards out of the bunker to 14 ins.
Very emotional when Alex popped it in then fell to his knees and his
big brother Matt running on and hugging him. It’s the first time Alex
has qualified for the tour because of the 400 points they both get.

I’ve sure gone through a few laptops Andre, I’m sure Currys
salesmen/women fight to get to me 1st when I go through the
doors  The problem has been over the last few years
I fall asleep without realising I’m going to and the next
thing I hear is a crash when my laptop hits the floor. I’ve
got this one held together with superglue when the casing
cracked right along the back. In my defence, I had no idea
I had Sleep Apnea and if it wasn’t for Mr Guhan deciding he
wanted me tested that they found that during a normal
hour I stop breathing 29 times (the maximum allowed is 5)
I got a CPAP machine and I’ve been using it for about 2
weeks. It pumps oxygen into my lungs when I stop breathing.
Since I’ve been on it, I’ve not fallen asleep during the
daytime once in the past 10 days :yahoo: . That hasn’t
happened in the last 3 or 4 years, so I’m hoping that my
glued together shot might last it out without further
punishment. Actually this time it wasn’t my laptop’s fault,
it was the BT box going to my modem that was corroded
inside (it’s old) the SKY guy fitted a new box and I was
    up and running :good:

I don’t know if anyone watched the golf tonight, the Zurich
Classic Of New Orleans, but I was an absolute wreck by the
end. They play in pairs and I had bet the two Fitzpatrick
boys who were the 1st brothers to win the competition. It
came down to the last hole with the boys needing a birdie
to win. It didn’t look good when Alex pushed his shot into
the bunker but his more experience brother, Matt, chipped it
36 yards to 14ins. Alex who has never made the tour, but has
qualified for next year because of the 400 points,( not to
mention the $1,372,750 they each got) got the honour of popping
it in. He crumpled to his knees and his big brother ran on and
they hugged. It was quite emotional. I only had them at 10/1 but
I won’t have to put up a betslip as I had them nominated on Darren’s
    thread.

Right, I’m getting my snorkel on now and having a good night’s
    sleep B-)

It doesn’t matter that Solness got beat, it’s a horrible race with poor Thistle Ask having to be put down. I knew as soon as he went wrong that it looked serious. Commiserations to all connections. RIP poor Thistle Ask

My laptop won’t connect so I’m on to my phone again. It was working earlier on, I think a new laptop looks likely..
I backed Solness a couple of days ago at 4/1 . I think he’s down to 7/5 or about there. I think he looks better and the extra distance suits. There must have been withdrawals so I’d imagine the odds will be cut if he wins.

I’ve gone for Livin on Luco in the Gold Cup.
    1530 Livin On Luco 14/1 Bet365. I think he’s well weighted.

Back to trying to fix my laptop
