good call with hatta fort, I did think declaration of war looked a little unlucky tho, horse hung in front of him and he had to check slightly when he was starting to move forward and had to hold on till it moved to go again.
while I am not a huge fan of segals his is usually an opinion I respect if not agree with. I think you’ve done him a bit of an injustice by quoting he isnt convinced dutch art is an out and out sprinter without mentioning he goes on to say he may not need to be as he has so much natural speed. I didnt think the pace was overly strong at ascot either but I think the point was more that he chased it rather than settling in behind it because in a straight sprint to the line DA would have more gas than most.
well thats scuppered that!
I take your point but I would say the trend is going more that way, rock of gibralter is another example and the principles for this year who ended up not getting there were precocious individuals. Im not trying to say i really like his prospects of winning the guineas, but I do think precocity at this stage is becoming less of a negative than it used to be.
I wouldnt be backing him at this stage either…
but precocious typs dont win the guineas? George Washington
well its price just doubled on the exchanges but still…

didnt have a bet in the race as I hadnt really had time to look at it but 11/1 seems a big price for a horse with that sort of ability in such a weak race good call bosranic, it depends what kind of mood he turns up in i guess.
sixties icon was shocking, thats two runs now. outpaced? needs further in my opinion, save him for a pop at the irish ledger.
history also said horses dont win the norfolk and then this, sometimes history is just wrong! horses are getting more precocious, for better or worse. I’m not saying he will win the guineas just that I wouldnt write him off based on history.
Air mail special for me, had an e/w bet for the arc when was at 16s shortening now. may not win at the wknd but expect a good run as fabre will have him spot on for the arc.
just stick her in the arc and then the champion hurdle, she is apparently unbeatable.
that was a joke before all the "she hasnt proven anything etc etc" arguments arrive
more feasible than poor old dessie who I believe did not have the aparatus to be breeding with anything.
though I realise this is hypothetical and am in no way insulting anyones intelligence.
nicely ridden to steal that on but i cant help thinking irridescence should have been ridden a bit closer, that may be my pocket talking though!
thanks for that mike, got the old sky plus box running at home, at least it should be, so I’ll have a good look tonight.
yeah i meant to say she missed the break as well thanks. i didnt see the first, im at work but managed to sneak off for the hinton so im not sure about the bias. i also didnt know what finished behind the winner on that side, were they just inferior horses? if not that would suggest little bias to me, but like a say im a bit limited on my viewing until i get home later.
she is a lovely horse, was highlighted to me a while back by a friend of mine and i had a nibble at 25s for next years 1000. however for me the one to take out of the race is elletelle, carried a penalty but ran a cracker considering the penalty she was carrying.
yeh the commentary didnt help either, as she crosses the line a length in front:
"oh I didnt realise how well she was doing"
hmm….
more pissed gotta be the guy who layed £800 @ 25/1
I think your spot on with that, any lack of pace would not suit nannina at all, she ultimatly could go further. I wouldnt be surprised to see irridescence try and make it, she needs it to be as much about stamina as she can make it.
