    RIP becauseshesaidso

Ruby, how does this make Hereford a clearly bad track? In terms of fatalities it is the second one since it reopened. Two too many but in terms of other tracks I’m sure it would work out one of the safest in the country.

    Sad news!!

He was the horse that got me into racing. Can’t believe it’s been that long. Was always great cheering the old boy on and his last win was heart in mouth as he slipped as he jt pulled him up.

    RIP Spotty

A very interesting read. I hope Hereford is not added to that list.

As mentioned above we have Arab racing and have had a couple of point to point meetings.

Nothing seems to be happening in regards to getting it back properly on the racing calendar.

I think it really depends on how high their mark is.

Luckily I don’t think it would make much difference to many clouds because he will only carry one more pound than he did this year.

But I agree with you had it been a horse at the lower end of the weights.

I don’t really like the fact that a lot of trainers opt for hurdle races all season just to look after their mark for the national

I have to say I found the channel 4 coverage tedious.

    – Emma spencer, doesn’t have any any real knowledge of nh Racing

    – frankie dettori, has some charisma but again when it comes to nh I didn’t gain anything from him.

    – gok wan, what on earth was he doing on there? Brought absolutely nothing. I think what did it for me was he was interviewing someone and he was disappointed that they were there for racing rather than fashion.

I see people dislike fitzy but Id much rather listen to him than any of the above when it comes to jumps racing.

Don’t like how they feel the need to bring in ‘celebs’ to co host. What is gok wan really going to bring to the program?

I would also prefer it if they kept dettori to the flat stuff. I would much rather listen to the insights of someone who actually jumps a fence.

    Maybe it’s just me though

In sprinter sacres case would it maybe have been an idea to save him for the melling chase at aintree?

He had won it before and aintree is an easier track than cheltenham plus he would have been running against a lot of of horses who would have had hard races at cheltenham.

Of course it’s great that they retire safe and sound and whilst still at the top too for their age.

Yes you are quite right about the next legends :D

Really hope this isn’t true. Only saw him on the gallops the other week. I’m part if the aramis racing syndicate and although kayliff was not part of it we always go and see him when we see our horse zayfire aramis. Gutted would be an understatement as he had really progressed over hurdles this season.

    Wondering if anyone had any news about a couple of horses;

Kauto grand mogel – half brother to kauto star, ran in a couple of bumpers in 2012 finishing 2nd and 1st. He hasn’t ran since? Any ideas?

Imsingingtheblues – hasn’t ran for 2 years. 12 now so assuming he has been retired. Has he been injured because he was in reasonable form before this layoff.

I can’t believe they couldn’t think of anything else more creative than a phscic pig. Let’s hope if he is back tomorrow morning that the horse doesn’t have the same outcome as today.

Don’t know why it annoyed me but graham Cunningham when talking about macs joy said that he died on the gallops at home. Yet if memory serves me correct he broke down in the international hurdle at Cheltenham.

Program has definitely gone down hill in certain ways with the new format. Still, I suppose it’s better than having nothing at all
