Sickening end to 4.50 Wetherby race won by the very game Yummy – it cost him his life as he crossed the line his leg was injured … much sympathy to all who loved and cared for him ..
March 27, 2026 at 18:04 #1761116All fatalities are of course terrible, but when they occur at what should be a joyous moment of victory really heaps on the misery.
Desperately sad, condolences to the horse’s connections.
RIP Yummy
March 27, 2026 at 18:16 #1761119Not nice to watch. He didn’t look right after landing at the last and I was a touch surprised he was ridden out to the line as hard as he was!
March 27, 2026 at 19:02 #1761121It wasn’t a great watch and it was the off fore he landed on after that blunder at the last which he incidentally injured. Yummy landed a nice touch in the process after being stepped up to three miles from lacklustre runs over two miles.
Rest in peace Yummy
March 27, 2026 at 19:10 #1761124IMHO not one of Harry’s finest moments, poor Yummy had clearly got hurt over the last & it was sickening that she was pushed to win the race with tragic consequences RIP Yummy 😥🥀
March 28, 2026 at 13:54 #1761242This is another case of a horse being fatally injured or suffering a career ending injury in pursuit of the trainers championship. I wonder if it’s something that should be done away with?Didn’t it happen to Azertiop when PN was chasing the championship and a horse of W Mullins in the Betfred last year.
