Mine is pretty obvious and does have a hint of hindsight bias attached but Frankel miles clear at halfway in the Guineas was a wtf moment and a half.
December 29, 2019 at 01:14 #1478432The flat; Camelot being denied the Triple Crown under dubious circumstances
Jumps; Faugheen’s blistering win at the Punchestown Champion Hurdle, or Coneygree’s Gold Cup, a setting a gruelling pace from start to finishDecember 29, 2019 at 01:19 #1478434That’s mine too David, Frankel’s incredible 2000 Guineas win and being there to witness it.

Have to mention Kool Kompany winning the Craven in 2015 and Sky Lantern winning the 1000 Guineas in 2013.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 29, 2019 at 01:24 #14784351. Tiger Roll’s win in The Munster National.
A proper “wow” moment for me. The rest is history.2. Closely followed by his first Grand National
3. Getting into the Winners Enclosure with Outlaw Tom at Hexham
December 29, 2019 at 05:23 #1478445Flat: Frankel breezing alongside St Nicholas Abbey and Farrh in the Juddmonte International, as though they were selling platers.
Jumps: Sprinter Sacre’s triumphant return in his second Champion Chase.
December 29, 2019 at 07:52 #1478448On the Flat it is Frankel first and the rest nowhere! I would add his win in the Queen Anne to those already mentioned.
Enable’s win in the Oaks in a thunderstorm was memorable and the announcement of a major talent.
Black Caviar’s dramatic win at Royal Ascot was memorable too. I was at Down Royal watching the race on the big screen. I think the whole crowd collectively gasped when the jockey dropped his hands!
Over jumps, being on Neptune Collonges at 40/1 in the Grand National was exciting! And being at Aintree when Cue Card won after falling in the Gold Cup was memorable. The cheer when he cleared the last is the loudest I have ever heard at Aintree.
December 29, 2019 at 13:40 #1478461AP McCoy winning Sports Personality of the year was good
Canford Cliffs 2011 Queen Anne beating Goldikova
Toronado Sussex stakes
Sprinter Sacre 2nd Champion Chase was there incredible atmosphere
also the deaf of silence when Annie Power went down for that famous 4 timer
Faugheen winning the Champion Hurdle a month after losing my Wife was a nice release as we had been backing him most part of 10 months
Winning any Competition on here but the 2012 Aintree win was a tense affair as my Wife (Grotbagss66 was back in 2nd) very competitive battles between us.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 29, 2019 at 15:11 #1478474Probably Marsha winning the Nunthorpe, assumed she’d just been chinned when Dettori punched the air so was delighted when the result was called.
December 29, 2019 at 17:45 #1478484I was going to say the performance of Pinatubo at Goodwood, but for me, his win at The Curragh. I was blown away, he is the best 2 Year Old I’ve seen.
December 29, 2019 at 19:48 #1478490I also meant to mention Treve’s second win in the Arc. When you consider all the problems she had, it was a tremendous training performance by Criquette to get her back
December 29, 2019 at 20:26 #1478492And here comes sprinter sacre!
Was there and nothing beat that moment
December 30, 2019 at 00:10 #1478497No hesitation at all, Frankel’s Guineas.
Astonishing. Will live with me forever.
December 30, 2019 at 10:26 #1478516Frankel and sprinter sacre are the stand outs
Outside of that maybe cue card doing vautour on the line in the king george
Or arrogate in the Dubai world cup when he fell out the stalls and won anyway, that was a freakish performance
December 30, 2019 at 15:04 #1478538Cue Card winning the King George & Sprinter Sacre winning his second Champion Chase.
December 30, 2019 at 16:11 #1478540Frankel for me as well – seeing him in the flesh at Goodwood and the way he moved to post were just as good as watching him race.
December 30, 2019 at 18:53 #1478558Goodness what a decision …. Frankel for the flat, absolutely awesome horse, for jumps Sprinter Sacre in full flight was just sublime and him regaining his Champion Chase crown was magical, but lots of emotional moments, Cue Card beating Vatour in the King George, Kauto Star beating Long
Run in the Betfair chase, Many Clouds running his heart out beating Thistlecrack.December 30, 2019 at 19:17 #1478562Coneygree’s Gold Cup. I leapt of the couch and punched the air as he passed the post after one of the greatest rounds of galloping and jumping I have ever seen.
One For Arthur becoming only the second Scottish trained horse to win the National.
I’m amazed no one has mentioned Kauto Star’s final Betfair Chase. Not a dry eye in the house.
