Any meeting in the UK or Ireland.
What’s the one horse that you’ve seen is entered up to run that you think has the best chance of the 70 odd races that will be ran that day?
I’ll stick up a packet of ginger nuts to the poster with the biggest priced winner.
I’m gonna go with Shan Blue in the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby. His handicap mark must surely be a gift from the gods and if he produces anything like the Charlie Hall or Aintree form from last year he’s gonna obliterate a very good field and probably be installed as 3rd fav for the GC.
I’m actually quite surprised they’re intending to run him without Harry on his back so as to protect his mark for a run in the plate on Thursday of Cheltenham next year as that looks like a very high quality field this year.
Currently around 11/2 and that’s a great bet to me!
December 21, 2022 at 17:53 #1627721“Oh, ffs, as if I cba to take part in….oh, hold on, what’s THIS??!! ‘a packet of ginger nuts to the poster with the biggest-priced winner,’ Chezza will have a bit of THAT!!!!” was the sequence of thoughts here.
Chezza’s off into purdah now until Boxing Day itself when, at the 11th-hour, he will deliver a biscuit-winning selection of such outrageous audacity the TRF massive will be stunned.
Merry Christmas, TC, sir, and many thanks in advance for your generosity!

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 21, 2022 at 21:58 #1627753Not my kind of bet at all, but McFabulous to win The Kauto Star.
If I do actually bet him at around 6-5, and he wins, all the winnings on to him for The King George the following year
December 24, 2022 at 19:35 #1628001Chezza’s found it!
Chezza knew VTC must have (re?)buried (second move?) this thread somewhere!
Wild Dollar 1.45 Leopardstown – 20/1 with SkyBet if you can get on.
Facile Vega was never out of a canter to beat him 20 lengths into third last time out, but I observed here at the time that nothing in the race seemed to be given an unduly hard time.
Wild Dollar runs off 105 here.
If Facile Vega is the 150+ Supreme Novice Hurdler so many assume him to be, Wild Dollar is surely on a fair mark here and at a big price.
Happy Boxing Day!

I saw this one improving last season with two impressive wins at Kelso, then he got mugged on the line by Dusart in a race he really should have won at Ayr. Picked up where he left off with a ridiculously comfortable win at Kelso in one of the best early season staying handicaps. Off a new mark he was closing at the line in Group 2 company behind Noble Yeats. Doesn’t look finished yet and misses the King George only due to his trainer feeling the track wouldn’t suit.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.December 26, 2022 at 13:04 #1628203Fanion Destruval at Wetherby at around 8-1
