Hate to agree with one eye but this contest is all over after that.
One Direction, pure class.
Was you rather taken by them, Matthew?
Are there enough girls under 13 willing to vote? That is the question….
Cardle and Ferguson are the two most accomplished in the competition by some way.
October 23, 2010 at 21:44 #324163You don’t have to hate agreeing with me Matthew
Yes, One Direction were good again tonight but so too was Matt. I’ve backed OD and Aiden but I can honestly say Matt is the danger, and probably deserves to be favourite at this stage.

It was very polished that aka westlife or take that.
November 7, 2010 at 21:10 #326907Well can you believe that?
What is the World coming to when you can’t even rely on a national tv programme like x-factor to be honest!
I called it right all the way through to the Wife…I correctly predicted those two would be the bottom two, it was obvious that Cheryl was going to lose an act tonight and these two were certainties to be the bottom ones as far as I was concerned.
The judges votes would have panned out 2-1 and Cheryl would have been left with the deciding vote and would have done the right thing and sent it back to the public…Katie was evs last night to be the next elimination and was the one I called. After the two sang again Katie was 1/7 to get the boot.
What happened next was bizarre! Did Cheryl not say she wouldn’t vote but they could could come back to her and she would send it to the public vote?
I would be absolutely seething right now if I would have put some money on what I thought was going to happen and backed Katie as the next elimination as I feel sure she would have gone on the public vote…

I’m glad someone else heard it!! Cheryl absolutely DID say that, and my guess is Katie would have gone.
As it turned out, the more interesting and watchable act stayed but, as you say, what about those that lumped on Katie to go?!! Surely it’s a void and a refund?!
Fact is, nobody called out what Cheryl proposed, and one can only wonder why?…. Did she not eliminate TreyC initially, before giving her the wild card?
It was the result ALL the judges wanted.
November 10, 2010 at 05:56 #16723There is a deliciously ironic looking backlash against this over hyped love to hate nonsense in the form of what looks like a gathering movement to keep arguably the least talented performer there has ever been on it in the contest…………..Wagner is 64-1 on Betfair ( at the time of posting) and it really looks like this has got legs as a bit of a coup……..bet and just to make sure we collect make sure you vote for him aswell…simples!
November 11, 2010 at 23:02 #327591Not a hope of him winning, campaign or no campaign. You can have 70/1 with me
November 12, 2010 at 00:23 #327609I’d be amazed if he’s not at least in the final three. Seriously

I would lay 10/1 all day on that. Final three will be Matt and Rebecca, then maybe One Direction/ Mary/Cher/ Aiden.
November 22, 2010 at 21:48 #32932720-1 is still outstanding value as the ‘protest’ vote gathers momentum every week as the show gets mired in Wagner centred controversy…some people voting against the X Factory ( sic) format, some voting against Simon Cowell’s smugness and manipulation, some people voting because they are annoyed that their favourite has gone out but all in all the Wagner vote is snowballing IMO towards a piece of TV platinum that Peter Kay couldn’t have dreamed up………….get on!
November 22, 2010 at 22:44 #329340Still 70/1 with me- Win only.

Blackbeard to conquer the World
November 22, 2010 at 23:14 #329350I’ll gladly take your 10p, Nathan.
Wagner will not be allowed to win X Factor, it would kill the show.Cowell couldn’t stop a campaign for RATM to be Christmas No.1 last year, but he’s in the driving seat on this one.
November 27, 2010 at 21:43 #330223Been quite a shortening of Matt’s odds in the last hour or so and now a best priced evs to win the comp!
My ticket with 4/1 on looking pretty nice at the moment.
Different class tonight!

Don’t wish to wee on your parade, but I really don’t think he has a snowballs chance, regardless of the market move.
One Direction and Rebecca have it between them….

I’ve stopped watching; the show’s a disgrace.

He’s been doing some heavy breathing down everyone’s necks from what I’ve read.
