    Hi there,

Winters coming time to start putting your stockings up and getting on top of the All Weather season.

As someone who firmly believes in the production of speed ratings in gaining an edge over the field I’ve spent the last 12 months getting ahead of the increasing number of growing speed factories across homes in the UK.

As the popularity of Speed Rating is increasing among the knowledge of the every day racegoer it’s been paramount to get ahead of those joining the game by making sure your factory is watertight and after months of pre-testing with abnormal profit.

It’s a perfect time to come back into the picture as re-instate the reputation that has passed and letting others know this is one of Great Britain’s finest.

    Prelude over.

1 pt will equate to £10.

    WOLVERHAMPTON 14/09/12

We start off the card with Henry Candy’s

    CHORAL BEE

running in the Apprentice Handicap at 17:40, a really decent time earned when winning at Kempton last time out despite having to be kept interested in her work she was clear of her field with 1.5f to go and never looked like wiltering although it was more to do with tenacity than acceleration.

This does look a tougher contest but she’s in good form, I’m undecided about her going left handed and want to keep on the side of caution despite her having 2-3 lengths on these.

    WOLVERHAMPTON 14/09/12

Looking at the 19:15 I’ve quietly concealed the performance of

    SOMEMOTHERSDOHAVEM

among a few of my connections who put up a Listed/Group 3 time over the two mile trip at Kempton on Saturday.

This horse is back out again under a 6lb penalty and it would be a travesty if the horse with upwards of a stone and a good bit more in hand.

The horse may be looking to get through the ranks in order for a tilt at the cesarewitch whilst there are no odds available for the horse I’d keep an eye on it in the market or that of runner up Arch Villain at Kempton.

The son of Avonbridge defied his breeding by getting two miles looking to enjoy the strong pace at Kempton although if there was a slow gallop I’d be interested to see if he was better off in such a run race with that sprinting background.

The 20:45 looks to be a one horse race for me in the shape of Bryn Palling’s

    SIR BRUNO

fitted with the first time Visors he came back to form over course and distance last time out when running Amoure De Medici within a neck in a decent time on the day.

He’s no angel but the new headgear could give him the half length at the finish to win, I’d like to assume he has enough in hand last time out to be a win bet here.

    DONCASTER 15/09/12

Straight to the end of the card for me where the most interesting race captures my imagination, Viking Storm (95) put up a Group 3 performance at Ascot over 12f on hard ground which puts him in strong contention here with his hold up style.

I’m going to side with Marco Botti’s

    FATSOTA (95)

at the odds, who recorded this figure on good to firm ground over 12 furlongs again at Ascot, his form has seen an Ebor winner come out in Willing Foe and the 5lb rise seems light.

    SANDOWN 19/09/2012

Looking into the Maiden at 250 it seems a quite riveting race with form from Concise, Etijaah & Romantic Settings and I believe the finishing three will be those from that form line (Restraint of Trade, Tally Stick & Havana Beat) but picking who will finish in what order is any one’s guess.

    1.0 pt tricast (any order)

There’s really only one horse for me in the 325 and that’s the Richard Hannon runner MONTIRIDGE who put up a devastating performance on the clock at Newbury a month or so ago.

Reports suggest he’s been a little under the weather so a nice canter around here will do him the world off good, I don’t think Hughes will want to get in any sort of battle so a sweep late hands n heels by a length or so will do just fine.

Bit of a dark horse is Montiridge and don’t expect to forget his name any time soon when it comes to the Classics next year.

    10.0 pt win @ 1.75

Towards the end of the card I’m interested in recent course and distance winner FULNEY for James Eustace who has seen his filly put up just 2lbs for her win.

Understandably it’s going to be harder tying to make all in Handicap company but if she’s ridden handy off the lead then it could be a wiser option.

The filly has a lot of talent on the evidence of her success here when putting up just below a Listed class effort and I’m sure she’ll get her black type without much fuss.

    2.6 pt win @ 10.00
    7.4 pt plc @ 3.60

The other to mention is Clive Britain’s QUIXOTE who was another putting up a decent performance over course an distance looking way ahead of the handicapper.

He’s one that needs a strong pace but the opening shows of around 16/1 are an insult for such a well handicapped horse that has produced an exceptional time over C&D.

    YARMOUTH 19/09/2012

MY PROPELLER goes down as a serious bet today, also an Alex Hammond tip of the day which is never a bad thing and this fillies speed rating at Haydock puts here clear of these.

    5.0 pt win @ 3.55

ARCH VILLAIN recorded a strong time over two miles giving lumps of weight away to eventual winner Somemothersdohavem two weeks ago and should take some beating.

    5.0 pt win @ 2.56

    KEMPTON 19/09/2012

The only real fancy at Kempton tonight is that of WHIMSICAL for Richard Hannon, was held up behind a clever ride on Dutch Rose on the Knavesmire who looks sure to be a Group 2/3 filly after the time recorded by Whimsical stayed on well from the rear passing horses. This filly has also won on the polytrack which is a positive.

    5.0 pt win @ 2.86

There’s a William Knight runner in the 10f Handicap called ANY OTHER DAY who has an excellent chance of making it into the winners enclosure tonight after being caught behind two strong maidens on the clock in Junior Diary and Fulney.

The trick is trying to understand when William Knights horses are going to exploded on the All Weather as they tend to run well clear of their marks if fancied.

Very good selections today, your combination tricast is even a winner as there is no industry tricast declared for maiden races so it reverts to a combination forecast.

I wasn’t aware of that Eclipse First, thank you for informing me of that!

    Interesting.

    YARMOUTH 20/09/12

The only races that catch my eye are the final few on the card and especially the 11f fillies event where CANDYCAKES goes for Michael Bell & Jamie Spencer, this filly has an awful amount of natural ability but she’s not one to do it on regular basis meaning she’ll forever be floating around off a decent mark until she finds consistency which I guess will come with age.

    2.3 pt win @ 12.00
    7.7 pt plc @ 3.65

Another that interests me is speed maestro David Brown’s charge FRENCH PRESS who has been caught behind some really decent black type Maiden winners. The horse may be suited to 5/6f next year but there’s nothing to suggest he hasn’t got the ability to win over 7f especially in Nursery company.

    2.5 pt win @ 6.80
    7.5 pt plc @ 2.26

    PONTEFRACT 20/09/12

A horse I’m looking forward to running is Jawhar out of the Haggas stable who put up an enormous performance on the clock at York last time out. The second in that race CHRISTMAS LIGHT runs at Pontefract today where he’s quite considerably better over this distance and is in cracking form.

    2.2 pt win @ 7.50
    7.8 pt plc @ 2.15

    KEMPTON 20/09/12

Slap bang in the last race on the British shores I feel CYNTHIA CALHOUN has a massive chance here after an excellent 2nd at Leicester last time out in a good time, sure to be overlooked but has at least a 2-3 length win over her rivals.

    140 – GREAT TIMING

Well this filly was 4th behind the 2013 Oaks winner, she won’t lose unless she beats herself or bumps into a potential superstar although I can’t see one.

    10.00 pt win @ 2.92

    220 – VALERY BORZOV

Lost on the Emilio Largo rating with Lord of The Shadows yesterday at Brighton but I believe taking that figure in here with Valery Borzov who will improve for the drop down in trip and ground conditions could be a very good pointer.

    2.0 pt win @ 19.00
    8.0 pt plc @ 4.800

300 – STEER BY THE STARS

Ran well at the St Leger meeting in the best Nursery of the season where the winner is up to 25lbs better than their mark which makes it a profitable race to follow in the future.

    2.7 pt win @ 5.60
    7.3 pt plc @ 2.05

    310 – KIRTHILL

Always threatened to be a Group performer but has taken his time to do it on the clock until York last time out where he finally put himself in that level of competition and should pick up an easy win to pay for the better races in future.

    2.3 pt win @ 7.00
    7.7 pt plc @ 2.10

    155 NEWMARKET

Hard to see past STEELER here who looks one of the better 2 year old colts this year and should definitely be challenging a furlong out and he won’t be stopping either having showed winning turn off foot from a slow race and stamina in a strong run race too, he’s the real deal.

    300 NEWMARKET

The only horse to be with here is BEAUTY PARLOUR who is a absolute machine of a filly, she may need to win this on pure ability given her break through injury and change of scenery but I really think she’s the real deal.

    340 NEWMARKET

I love the Cambridgeshire although this year fails to capture the imagination but that hasn’t stopped me from finding a horse whom may fly under the radar here in ANDERGIO, massive improver throughout the year with many people likely to drop him today in favour of something else but I do believe his Doncaster effort still shows signs of strong health and will to win let alone an excellent standard of ability.

    350 HAYDOCK

I’m still convinced that JEDWARD has a really good Handicap place/win under his belt after the time he put up at Newmarket, it’s not gone right since but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him pop up in conditions like these.

    405 CHESTER

This ex Paul Cole runner is still a Maiden after 12 runs but HUMUNGOSAUR still retains a good level of ability displayed last time out at Haydock, he’s running out of higher Handicaps here in an attempt to land the Maiden whilst he looks a bet to take on Jeremy Noseda’s horse at 1/3.

    415 NEWMARKET

Looks a tough Nursery on the face of things which you would expect for this meeting and time of year but I’m taken by the favourite ANNECDOTE for Jonathan Portman whose filly made a might impression on debut behind light up my life and has continued to show ability throughout her next 3 runs including putting up a serious effort on the clock last time out behind Jamesbo’s Girl.

    440 CHESTER

Andrew Balding’s filly MISS CAP ESTEL stuck on dourly behind Debating Society at Epsom not so long ago and followed up with a win at Chester, the ground may play into her strengths again today and hasn’t been punished that badly in the Handicap either.

    450 NEWMARKET

The horse to beat here is CAPE CLASSIC for William Haggas who put up a Listed/Grp3 effort on the clock last time out and finally looks like he’s on the right path after being touted as a very talented horse for some time, it would be hard to imagine something quickening away with him inside the final furlong.

    515 CHESTER

Again, I’m following in Andrew Balding this time with his runner BANK’S BONUS who stuck on in the latter stages behind a more than useful Sir Michael Stoute runner at Lingfield on his last outing, this horse looks like he’s going to be staying forever on the flat and the more conditions test the stamina reserves the greater his chance.

Like I said STEELER is an underated class act, proved today that people might want to get onside before it’s too late.
