December 19, 2010 at 21:59 #333269And as for voting for him. I paused the box when all the numbers came up and shouted to the Mrs to pass the phone, in she walks with a pen and paper…
. Anyway I make the call and pass it back. ‘How much did that cost us she said’. When I told her ’15p’ she must have rang it herself about 10 times for McCoy. Bless her…

December 19, 2010 at 22:17 #33327057% of those who contributed to this thread Voted No!
Only 39% of us voted Yes! Tells you a lot about those who voted No and their dedication and loyalty to racing! I thought this was a horse racing forum where talent and achievement was recognised! Nothing like looking after your own eh! A brilliant result for racing won by a true champion of his sport recognised by some on here who at least can call themselves supporters of horse racing!December 19, 2010 at 22:21 #33327157% of those who contributed to this thread Voted No!

There’s only one result that matters.
My landline is bust & there’s no way I was spending 80p voting on Phil Taylor.

What a beautiful girl!! You would need the stamina of AP to keep her happy, I’m sure!! Seems like a nice girl, too.
A great result on every level.

Delighted for AP and for NH racing but I do wish he’d buy a hair brush
December 20, 2010 at 00:54 #333291Totally wrong
to condemn the no voters.I am sure many ticked no
suggesting they were
not intending to vote for anyone. If the question had read..
‘If you are voting
will you vote A P ?I am sure he would have won Mac’s poll !
I will add my congratulations
to Mr A.P. McCoyand advise all no voters to head
to the top of the page

Not as tasty as the Ice Queen, Amy Williams, IMHO.

December 20, 2010 at 08:45 #333297A marvellous result and credit where credit is due – well done to R4C and the RP for getting behind the Champ and campaigning for him and also everyone on here who voted for him.
Although for me Phil Taylor’s response to coming second was the highlight of the night, in any other year it would have been great to see him win it.
Hopefully, AP will still be reigning SPOTY by the time this post hits the forum
December 20, 2010 at 09:27 #333298A light flickers at the end of a very gloomy racing year, so whatever one’s personal feelings about the programme and the man it’s time to break out the booze, brandish the bunting and generally accentuate the positive:
Hearty congratulations AP McCoy
December 20, 2010 at 09:42 #333300Yep not withstanding his recent behaviour, richly deserved on so many levels, so well done to him. A mention of the efforts of RFC and the fans who are with him day in, day out (on RUK) wouldn’t have gone amiss.
Quote of the night from Cesc Fabergas. Discipline, togetherness and friendship, his reasons for Spain’s victory in the World Cup. Proper team those Spanish lads.
You gotta hand it to Beckhams PR company. For a bloke who’s barley kicked a ball, in terms of success for 7 years, they know how to keep the Hello readers interested. Hopefully his missus had a vol-au-vent or three at the post do knees up.

I’m pleased for AP McCoy, too. This is surely now the perfect time for him to show a true champion’s magnanimity by offering an olive-branch interview to RUK.
