Winnable game but could have done with a home tie.
I had hoped that Wick would get drawn closer to Edinburgh so that I could see them. We are going to racing at Musselburgh on the Sunday and I’m not sure I’d ‘get a visa’ to drive up to Inverness on Saturday.
Even more galling from my point of view was Burntisland Shipyard getting the one bye in the round. I’ve yet to visit ‘Shippy’ and I was hoping they woudl be drawn at home. The consolation is the possibility of Scottish League opposition in the next round, fingers crossed.
The ‘feed them to the lions’ award goes to the Auchinleck v Fort William tie. I just hope Auchinleck have a cricket team as their scoreboard might be needed to keep count against the Highland League’s perennial duffers.
