One of my favourite racehorses and possibly one of the most promising chasers in the novice division.
Very sad news
RIP
April 13, 2009 at 20:53 #221707Terrible news.
Witchita had such a likeable, roguish personality.
RIP
April 13, 2009 at 21:28 #221713Had an eerie feeling that this may happen.
Very sorry that he’s gone
April 13, 2009 at 22:01 #221722What great memories you will leave, very sorry for connections. RIP Wichita Lineman.
April 13, 2009 at 22:03 #221726What an awful shame that was. Condolences to all connections, but he’s given them some great memories.
April 13, 2009 at 22:09 #221728Sad journey home; strange, feels as though he’d been around forever…r.i.p.
April 14, 2009 at 13:13 #221780A very likeable horse.
Gorgeous looking horse and always battled.
Thanks for the memories Wichita Lineman, especially your recent win at Cheltenham.
RIP.
April 14, 2009 at 13:40 #221785I sort of always worried about this for this horse, he had a gutsy attitude but not the jumping skill to go with it… He was always vulnerable. So sad to hear he has gone.

His recent run at Cheltenham was awesome.

April 22, 2009 at 16:09 #223010I was very upset when I found out about this – Wichita Lineman was one of my favourite horses, a really lovely looking animal as well as being very talented.
What a very sad time for connections, especially Jonjo O’Neill, with losing Exotic Dancer too.
R.I.P Wichita Lineman – I will never forget you.
