he looked miserable as sin. Retire him. If they do run him again, put sam thomas back on him, the horse attacked the fences for him and oozed confidence, it could be that the heart scare has caused the horse too be frightened too give it his all for fear of the pain.

Regardless of race practice a horse should still retain it’s traits and quallities for me Denman didn’t.
Take Eduardo for Arsenal tonight, out for 1 year and only 30minutes of professional football, he comes and scores a goal that he’s renouned for a predator against average class opposition.
Denman came back against some average opposition, you would expect him to jump well and he did apart from messing up the first fence, you would expect him to run to give everything and show that power and determination we all love, but he never instead capitulated as soon as the pace was upped by Tom, is that the Denman we know? I don’t think it is and about race fitness a horse thats been there done it and 2 months training for this race with a quallity yard like Nicholls he should be put away for another season or even retired, I don’t like seeing great horses of this game running at the class they once dominated to be tailed off, you expect them to be there or there abouts and with his Gold Cup opposition having a good season and now a good break, it’s going to be one mighty step for Nicholls and one giant leap from Denman, but the horse that’s named the tank showed nothing at Kempton and gave in just plugging on to the line, it’s going to be a tough tough ask i just hope nothign goes wrong with him at Cheltenham, its possibilty.
February 17, 2009 at 20:11 #210724Dirty Den was always over rated.
Kauto Star hates the wind.
It was like a hurricane at last years gold cup = The reason Dirty Den won.
The most over hyped horse of all time, im still in shock that he won the 4 runner race at Newbury last year.
Dirty Den stands no chance in the Gold Cup, Ladbrokes go biggest price on him. Take the hint and avoid the fat plodder like the plague.

February 17, 2009 at 22:00 #210743Zoso – i bet you would insult Denman like that to the horses face. He’d kick your bahookie, sir – wind or no wind.
