Someone who my father works with recently enquired about having a bet on a filly who is currently a yearling winning either one of the english, irish or french oaks in 2009.

she asked all of the ‘big three’

have a guess what price she was offered by all three….?

    Lower…….

Anyway, the price she got was 14’s………. im not sure if she took it or not. It wasn’t even like she wanted a huge bet, she only wanted £100.

Surely you would want 14’s that the was horse was going to run in at least one of those races, but to win at least one of them………………

14/1? You’re joking surely? I’d be wanting 500/1 at this stage easily.

    That is incredible.

Wonder if there’s anyone in the world that would consider that value? 😉

Was one of the firms William Hills?

For Gods sake make sure they circle the price if it was!

Appalling value. What price will it be even if it wins its debut?

No, not joking. my father came back from work the other night and asked me the exact same question and judging by the way he said it i knew it was going to be low………. so i said 33’s thinking that was no value

Imagine the laughter when he said 14’s.

I know she is a full sister to Beat Hollow, but his derby run gave me the impression that he didn’t get home over 12furlongs.

Its a Juddmonte yearling so, will be inerested to see who it goes to.

I think it was all of the ‘big three’ that offered 14’s, i don’t know if she actually placed the bet, i will find out later.

If she isn’t going to stay 12f then she ought to be trained in France for the Prix De Diane.

I am off down Hills for a lump on this good thing.
