Good that he’s been rescued but I imagine the physical and particularly mental toll on the individual involved will be huge. Fact is the guy shouldn’t have been sent in there as part of this illegal war to start with. Not his fault but he’s the one who has to deal with the effects whilst the draft dodger in chief forgets all about him.
Media attention has been entirely disproportionate though. Plenty of innocent Iranian victims including children who the media couldn’t give a damn about.
Overly pessimistic perhaps but I have the n-word rolling around my brain following Trump’s latest rantings concerning what might happen around 0100 UK time Wednesday morning: ‘taking out Iran in one night’ ‘living in hell’ blah blah.
Of course, anything the lunatic says should be treated with a barrowload of salt but, with no one in the USA apparently able or willing to keep him in check, the deployment of a ‘tactical’ nuclear weapon or weapons whilst still unlikely seems a lot less unlikely now.

Fair assessment Drone. You’d like to think that someone along the chain of command would put a stop to a nuclear device being deployed, should it get that far, but it’s far from a given.
Remember when they were telling us that countries should be run like businesses? Any CEO acting like this and appearing to have multiple health issues would have been placed on medical leave long ago.

On 13th March, Trump stated that all MILITARY (his capitals, not mine) on Kharg Island had been completely destroyed. If he is now attacking place with no MILITARY targets, that constitutes a war crime.
He has also said, today, that an entire civilisation could be wiped out. That is pretty much the definition of genocide.

I see the penny is gradually dropping with some right wing politicians here, who would have gone all in behind Trump just weeks ago, now they’ve finally realised that the British public wants no part in this. If only there had been clues that an obviously illegal war started by a dangerous madman and his cronies wouldn’t go very well.
The problem is that the majority of American voters believe everything put out the right wing press. Unfortunately the same could be said of UK voters who are taken in by what they read in the Express, Mail, Sun and Telegraph, all owned by Americans or their sympathisers.
Everything coming out of Trump and his mob are lies, lies and more lies. They tell us that thousands of Iranians have died while casualties in the USA and Israel amount to the fingers on two hands. On the other hand, the Iranians tell the truth admitting their leader was killed. We are told fighter planes from the USA cannot be touched while we see wreckage on the ground.
In the UK, it appears that Reform can clear the country of illegal immigrants by merely waving a magic wand. Some people will believe anything they read in the gutter press.
It makes me wonder if the military at some point are going to say this isn’t happening on my watch and refuse to carry out his lunatic plans.

I really wanted to have an early night tonight but I’m going to be awake listening to the news terrified of what Trump might be planning.
Hopefully Pakistan come to the rescue and talk some sense into Trump (highly unlikely).
Just hope I wake up tomorrow and Trump has declared a further deadline rather than hearing that thousands of civilians have been killed in Iran.

What is surreal is that congress all seem to be on their Easter holidays as if nothings happening! I’ll have to listen to a Jason Stephenson get back to sleep fast relaxation video on utube.
