Lincoln City V Cobbs, normally a few goals in these meetings.
Crawley beat Lincoln last week 3-0 Northampton beat Crawley 3-0 Saturday, if only it was that easy.
Id expect Cobblers to do similar job as at Stockport last Tuesday, play defensive then send on the more skilful forwards around the 60 minute mark.
Given the Cobblers current run 7 pts from 3 matches the 18/5 for an away win looks decent. 2.5@18/5
Tyler Roberts First goal scorer 2@9/1
Sticking with Guthrie to score anytime 1@12/1Ongoing -18.5
October 28, 2024 at 17:14 #1711085FA Cup Saturday November 2nd Round 1
Northampton V Kettering.
So the BBC choose a match looking for the cup shock.
Kettering supporters will number around 1400, so should be a cracking atmosphere. Its hard to ignore the fact that there is a huge gap between the Southern League Central and League 1. But Kettering are currently top and have used some of the cup money to add players to the squad. Given that Northampton have a bad history recently in the FA Cup, Kettering to win at 9/1 looks a fair shout. 2@9/1
As always a bet on the 4-1 home win 1.5@16/1Brackley V Braintree
Braintree had a close 1-0 over Bishops Stortford who play in the Southern League central in the 4th qualifying.
Brackley drew away to Hartlepool and had a comfortable 3-1 home win in the replay. Expecting a close match here with a good crowd, Brackley to win BTTS 2.5@5/1Ongoing -24.5
November 3, 2024 at 04:01 #1711679Well dam the buggers, Kettering won in ET and Brackley won in ET on pens, so both teams scored..

Struggling to get a bet where I am currently, when I used my VPN, it lasted about 24 hours, before it was noticed and blocked..Telephone is so slow it times out, probably a good thing at present.
November 9, 2024 at 14:28 #1712267Cobblers away to the Blue Noses, not hopefull of a result, too many injuries, money bags Birmingham to win 3-0 4@7/1
Brackley at home to Darlington, and Banbury away to Bishops Stortford.
Brackley 8/11 and Banbury 7/5 double 6@3.14
Ongoing-34.5
November 12, 2024 at 19:07 #1712514So a fantastic last minute equaliser for the cobbs, a small step towards a top half finish.
Bluenoses gutted and their manager cant believe they didnt win. But still no 3-0 for them or me.Brackley did the honours, unfortunately Banbury could only draw.
Tonight, Northampton V Burton in the EFL Trophy, home win is/was 11/8
Brackley away to Buxton in the national league north, away is 9/5Cobbs and Brackley to win 5@5.65/1
-39.5
As Ive not done the 4-1 home for the cobblers..fingers crossed its not today.
November 16, 2024 at 13:17 #1712911Well well Cobbs 2 Burton 5, I should have realised when the shirt numbers for the starting 11 added up to 312, then add the bench to that its 544. Still a little hope, maybe theres the next Ivan in the youth team, Neo Dobson, scored 3 goals in the EFL trophy and made his L1 debut against Birmingham last week.
Anyway, away to Blackpool, not a great record there, but 9/2 for the away is to much to refuse.
Northampton Away win 2@9/2
Brackley not playing in the FA trophy.
Banbury V Stourbridge, Home win 4@6/4Silly double 1.5@12.75
-47 ouch..
November 16, 2024 at 15:01 #1712954Added Fox to score first Cobbs player 2.5@28s, moved into the advanced midfield position today.
-49.5November 16, 2024 at 18:21 #1712981Oh well two nil nil’s but another cobblers point towards a top half finish, thats all I can take out of today.
Another serious injury for the cobbs, glad we get a week off for the FA Cup.Edit to say..got me dates messed up.. playing Saturday..Cambridge at home..this is the..4-1..
November 19, 2024 at 18:59 #1713327Its coming..Monday 9/12..its the one we want..
November 19, 2024 at 19:02 #1713329Its the Nene Derby…
Cheer up Barry Fry..November 23, 2024 at 14:24 #1713760Banbury Away to Harborough Town.
Hopefully Harborough will have more than one eye on next weeks FAC 2nd round match at Reading. The players will perhaps have a think about those 50/50s in the wet conditions with a view to not getting injured.
Banbury to win 5@2sNorthampton V Cambridge, wet and windy, usually means few goals, so going against this
Cobbs to win 4-1 5@40s
Guthrie to score anytime 2@12s
Tyler Roberts to score first 5@7s-17
-66.5
November 23, 2024 at 18:36 #1713830Well there was a 4-1, unfortunately its was Harborough Town stuffing Banbury, mind you having a red card in the 29th min, does not help the cause.
Cobbs, failure to score is concerning, yes another point, but its time to start winning.
Best news though is we got Posh in the EFL trophy, so an extra match with the Scum.Onwards and upwards..one hopes
November 26, 2024 at 18:41 #1714125Wigan V Cobblers, as bad grounds go, this is a bad one for us.
Wigan, dont concede or score many, we concede and dont score many.
Makes for a pair of duck eggs 2@10sJust in case we do mange to pinch one, Id suspect its from a set play.
Spread the bets..
Guthrie to score 1st 1@40s and anytime 2@14s
Mcgeehan to score first 3@12’sBrackley away to Rushall Olympic, FAC saturday, I dont see Brackley putting in a shift for this.
Brackley Draw @ 11/5 add Cobbs draw @ 13/5 3@10.52
Another 11 bye bye

November 30, 2024 at 10:33 #1714387The big day has arrived: the local derby between Southport and Marine. I shall be heading out to Haig Avenue later to watch the first league encounter between the two clubs for at least 20 years.
Both sides could do with a win. Southport have lost their last three league games: a disappointing result against Peterborough Sports at home was followed by successive 1-0 away defeats at King’s Lynn and Curzon Ashton, causing a fall from fifth to thirteenth in the table.
I like to think that is a false position. Southport have played well this season. Those two away defeats were against good sides and I believe Southport played well both times.
Marine have struggled a little since their promotion last season. However, they come into the match after taking 4 points from their last two fixtures: a victory against fellow strugglers Needham Market and a good draw against Spennymoor.
It should be a hard fought game but I am backing Southport to win. They have been good at home this season and have beaten better sides than Marine. I have taken 23/10 against Southport leading at half time and full time.
I hope I haven’t put the curse on them!
December 2, 2024 at 05:17 #1714565Well CAS, no goals and no defeat, Im sure there is some good in that.
No match for the Cobbs, Didnt have time to look at the Stockport V Brackley tie and Banbury lost at home again.
December 2, 2024 at 05:31 #1714566That was the only good thing. It was a dire game. Southport were terrible and Marine were not much good either. The visitors were the “better” side in the first half, while Southport had a few chances in the second half, so a draw was a fair result.
It wasn’t a good advert for the league. It was a pity because there were 2,400 there. Double the usual crowd Southport get and one of their largest attendances since losing their football league status. Unfortunately, I don’t think many of them will be coming back after that performance!
Danny Lloyd, Southport’s best player and leading goalscorer, is out injured. Without him they look half the side, lacking in any confidence and self belief.
Jim Bentley put a brave face on it in his post match interview on YouTube but he was obviously disappointed with that performance.
A week off and then the FA Trophy is probably no bad thing, before the next league game against struggling Needham Market on 14th December.
December 2, 2024 at 18:15 #1714619CAS, sometimes a big crowd makes the atmosphere and the supporters, think hey..that was good.
Was there segregation in the ground? The Brackley Banbury matches in NFLN league last year, were highly policed, and away supporters limited to 250 for each side. Actually, a few of the guys that go used to play against each other in the local Sunday morning hangover league 20 or 30 years ago..all fun and beers.
