20th in NLN. They are probably ashamed to show their faces on Lord Street! ;-)

There are rumours the club’s majority shareholders are about to be bought out by a potential new owner. I will believe it when it happens!

Perhaps a day in the stocks would do them well, some nice rotten fruit to be thrown at x amount per go. Could raise a few quid for the club?

    Good Friday:

Over in Austria KSV1919 are home to Amstetteen, Home win 11/8 draw 23/10 and away win 6/4. The prices reflect the likelihood of a win in this.
    KSV1919 8@11/8

Not much else to look at, Northampton away to Charlton, Charlton are on fire but the match odds dont inspire a bet.
Brackley at home to Oxford City, despite their league positions City are on form. But still no value for me on a straight bet.

    Nut job time.
Three correct scores in a 0.5 PAT.

    Brackley to win 3-1@10s

Having just seen the Cobbs line up today, Fosu is back in the side, obviously he’s learnt how to use an alarm clock to arrive at training on time.
    Anytime goal scorer 1.75 @8’s

    -36 ongoing.

Interesting article on Cobbs 60 years ago.. Fancy flying from Luton to Plymouth for a match in those days, what would they say in this day and age.

All to play for at the top of NLN now, after King’s Lynn defeated Scunthorpe and Kidderminster and Brackley both won.

The bad news for Brackley is: Kidderminster already as good as have another 3 points on the board via a certain away win on the last day of the season.

Rumours abound that a Liverpool property developer is about to buy Southport FC. I wonder if he wants to make Sefton Council an offer for the Haig Avenue site? :-(

Hereford will be the ”king maker” playing Kiddy and Scunny, goal difference, well Farsley Celtic last game of the season for Brackley. go.Gung Ho..
But theres still Leamington Monday for us, who Hereford beat today. Scunny forum suggests they are preparing for another season in NLN.
If Southport can get a result in the last match. Ill find a way to fill your glass with a beer.. :good:

I have heard a rumour that Scunthorpe are losing serious amounts of money every week.

I feel sorry for Farsley but they have been a joke for the league this season.

There is a danger Scarborough could be the same next season. Like Farsley, there is an issue with their artificial pitch and it doesn’t sound like it will be resolved soon. It sounds like they will be ground sharing with York City.

Bury secured promotion yesterday. They defeated Burscough 4-0 to win the North West Counties Premier Division in front of a crowd of 8,719 – an incredible attendance for a Tier 5 fixture. The other 11 matches in the league had a combined attendance of 3,231.

No luck for South Liverpool, losing 2-1 to AFC Liverpool with the winner coming from almost the last kick of the match. A cruel way to end the season.

KSV1919 seem to be my lucky team so far this season, the win on Friday moved them upto 4th in the league. No play offs in the Austrian Bundesliga 2 one up one down and their too far away to reach the top spot.

Away today in Vienna against the Rapid’s second team.
When first priced up by Freds, KSV were 15/8, so I took that, now its Home 8/5 Draw 23/10 Away 7/5.
    10@15/8.

Brackley away to Leamington a win is needed to keep the pressure on Kiddy for the automatic promotion place.
Home win 29/10 Draw 11/5 Away 4/5, Brackley have never won at the Brakes before, must be a first time though.
    10@4/5

    Northampton home to relegated Shrewsbury.
The Shrews have not won for a while, which is normally put right when clubs visit the Cobblers.
Home 8/15 Draw 29/10 Away 9/2, nothing there that interests me, so a first goal scorer bet and a couple of correct scores. Previously I have been punting Max Dyche blindly, but he has been warming the bench for the last few matches. So McGeehan will do and the home 4-1 with a saver on a 5-1.
    McGeehan 4@11/2 first goal
    Home win 4-1 2@25’s
    Home Win 5-1 1@66’s

    0.5 Correct score PAT 3.5
    KSV1919 to win 1-2 17/2
    Cobbs to win 3-1 12/1
    Brackley to win 1-2 15/2

    -31.5
    Ongoing -58.5

Today’s matches are vital. Brackley are certain of 3 points on the last day of the season and Kidderminster are near certainties as well, so it all depends on today. Hereford ought to be tough opponents for Kidderminster.

I think the Sandgrounders will beat the Wires to make it our fourth victory over them this season. If only we could have played them every week.

The voting for the Player of the Season award is open on the club’s website. I haven’t voted yet because there isn’t a “None Of The Above” option.
