Rushall 2/1
Draw 5/2
Southport 6/5Anyone who thinks 6/5 is a good price is crazy!
I can’t bet against my own team but that 2/1 for Rushall is way too big. OK, they are struggling in the bottom four. But they have beaten better teams at home than Southport this season, including Hereford last Tuesday and top of the table Scunthorpe earlier in the season.
March 14, 2025 at 15:50 #1723846Looks an interesting bet CAS. I dont like to bet against Cobbs but there are times when one has no choice.
Theres always the new manager theory..shackles off and many goals.

March 15, 2025 at 06:06 #1724030Jim Bentley has put a message on Southport’s website thanking the club for the opportunity and thanking the fans for all their support throughout his time in charge.
He could easily have felt angry and bitter but instead he thanks all the people who helped him and wishes the club well. I think that is a measure of the man.
Even though it wasn’t working on the pitch, I regret the manner of his departure. He was clearly hurt by some of the comments after the defeat to Marine, mostly from a group of young lads who spent most of the match slagging off Marine rather than getting behind Southport.
Personally I would have given him today’s match. Win and we are as good as safe. Lose, then maybe have a quiet word on Monday morning in a better atmosphere than a post derby match defeat.
I genuinely wish Jim well, as I have done on the fan forum. I hope he gets another post soon. Any club will be lucky to have him.
March 15, 2025 at 17:41 #1724162Just as well I didn’t put any money on Rushall! A great win for the Sandgrounders.

Disappointing for Brackley.
March 16, 2025 at 11:34 #1724213Very bad for Brackley, plenty of chances but nothing in the net.
Radcliffe away next Saturday is a must win and hope Scunny loose away to Kiddy midweek and Chester next Saturday.March 16, 2025 at 11:42 #1724216No returns on the Brackley score loosing 0-1.
Cobbs came close to the upset, scoring first and dominated the first half, well thats upto the 45th minute, when Birmingham equalised.
Fosu scoring bets both void as he did not venture onto the pitch. Retuned 4
KSV1919, have just had a not so comfortable 3-0 home win this morning, 2 goals in the last 5 mins. Some brave souls there for the 10:30am local time K/O, plenty with beers in one hand and a ciggy in the other.
Returned 18Ongoing +40.5
No midweek games this time.
March 20, 2025 at 16:54 #1724443Good win for Kiddy over Scunny Tuesday, still hope left of top spot for Brackley, thus making Saturdays match against Radcliffe a must win.

+30.5March 21, 2025 at 08:34 #1724516Radcliffe are a team capable of beating anyone but the league table doesn’t lie. They are struggling but I think they will be OK.
Their ground is on quite a severe slope. I think teams have to make the most of when they are kicking downhill. It is much harder work the other way!
It has been another big week for Southport. On Tuesday, a 1-0 win over Longridge Town in the semi final of the Lancashire Trophy saw the Sandgrounders progress to the final, where we will play Bacup Borough on 16th April. If we win, I expect there will be an open top bus parade through the town to show off such a prestigious trophy…
Or maybe there will be two trophies to display, given we play Warrington Rylands in the quarter final of the Liverpool Senior Cup next Tuesday. The winners play “Everton” (in reality their youth team) in the semi final.
More importantly, there is Scarborough on Saturday. It might be my last match of the season, given I cannot attend the next two and I am hoping we will be safe by the final day.
David Morgan is already putting his own stamp on the team and I expect a home win. It is National Non League Day, with no distractions from the Premier League and a chance for non league clubs to take centre stage.
March 22, 2025 at 18:47 #1724627Good win for Brackley in a potentially awkward encounter with Radcliffe.
Scunthorpe will be pleased with their victory over Chester.
It was the usual rubbish served up by Southport. Scarborough started better and the goal was inevitable.
I have to say the referee was the worst I have seen this season by a huge margin. He got every big decision wrong. He denied Southport a cast iron penalty not long after Scarborough had scored. And he was a drama queen who clearly thought the 1,400 people who had descended on Haig Avenue today were there just to watch him referee.
We didn’t deserve anything out of the game but it is frustrating to lose to a poorly defended goal and a complete idiot in charge.
March 23, 2025 at 19:35 #1724707Brackley rested a few players on Saturday, with the Kiddy match on Tuesday being a massive ”need to win”.
Current odds at Billys for NLN have Scunny 8/13 and Brackley 100/30 with Kiddy 9/2.So with lots of help from the Sandgrounders next Saturday (CAS I need a favour), and a Brackley win over Kiddy Tuesday things could get interesting. To be honest, I suspect the title will go on to the Easter fixtures, if its still tight thankfully Brackley play Farsley Celtic at home last game while Scunny have a trip to Hereford.
10@100/30 Brackley to win the league.
No joy on any bets Saturday, Cobbs out played by Blackpool (should do well next season in L1).

Lustenaue V KSV1919.
Lustenaue have had a strange season, four wins, eleven draws and five defeats. KSV nine wins three draws and eight deafeats. Lustenaue have only scored 14, bet the fans are happy..
Odds are 23/20 Home 2/1 Draw 9/5 Away.
Draw seems obvious 5@2s

Ongoing 13.5March 23, 2025 at 20:37 #1724715Sorry, I think the chances of Southport getting anything at Scunthorpe next Saturday are minuscule. We are playing like a team that wants the season to end.
Southport is no longer the best team in Sefton. Marine’s remarkable run of form (25 points from the last 10 games) has taken them above the Sandgrounders in the table. To think they were bottom of the league in January!
March 23, 2025 at 21:07 #1724722Remarkable turn around that for Marine, did they have a clear out of players and new blood in the transfer window?
Have Southport made and approach for their manager?..March 23, 2025 at 22:21 #1724733It has been suggested on the Southport fan forum. But why would he leave? Marine has ambitious plans and the future is looking good, especially if the plans for the new stadium are approved.
Southport are going from bad to worse on the pitch. And with the club’s majority shareholder still under investigation by the Charity Commission, it is not good off the pitch either.
We were lucky this season to get off to a good start and for the bottom 4 or 5 teams to have been so poor. Neither is guaranteed next season.
Macclesfield won promotion on Saturday after running away with the NPL. They will almost certainly be a force to be reckoned with next season, as will Fylde if they get relegated. It is going to be a stronger league and Southport is going to have to do some serious thinking around recruitment. The current squad is nowhere near good enough.
March 24, 2025 at 08:53 #1724742I do hope that Southport can get themselves sorted out, plenty of NPL teams all in the same area there, so decent crowds and good for the clubs.
Certainly with Macclesfield being promoted this year next season will be interesting, much more media attention with Robbie in charge.
Its very tight at the bottom of the NL, of the seven that may go down only two are northern teams, this could see a shuffling of some southern teams to NLN instead of NLS.The 100/30 Brackley to win NLN from yesterday has gone now and is inline with the others offering odds at 11/4.
A draw or defeat to Kiddy will see the price go out and I may go in again if its tempting enough. - AuthorPosts
