    Wolves
    Samara Star
    Win

    Heartbreaker
Was a selection over hurdles last time for M.Bell he duly obliged.
Will run well here, but not certain to take to the all weather. Related however to all weather winners.
So the saver here is a reverse exacta with the two runners.
I’m still striving for a five minute cut off time before selections. So this is on time.

    Wolves 3.10

    Perthshire
Is trained by another stargazer Mark Usher.
The trainer who tries his mounts over a variety of trips and works on their marks fairly.
The mark has come down by 9lbs and this one has a small each way chance.

Good start to the thread a correct forecast and a big priced runner up two 50/1s the last two days and a couple of double figure priced winners on the other thread. Soul selections thread a real struggle.
Far too many selections though and refining that now….

    Battle Of Wills
Has a very outside chance here but has fallen a long way.
Good chance to experiment on the theory of free energy.
    Just hiss
The other one for each way here.
    Well placed by Tim Easterby

And Luke Morris rides for the first time since then.
Interesting stewards report last time ran too freely.

Needs to be the saver bet here.

    Hamilton 4.35

This is a hands and heels race for apprentice jockeys.
Which begs the question, why don’t the pros do hands and heels races?
Maybe dispense with Ladies races too which do not seem to serve any purpose.

    Red Skye delight
Has shown in snatches some reasonable ability on the all weather. Ran well for four or so furlongs before running out of gas. Showed more than enough to suggest first run on turf could be overlooked. The grey stopped and beat a retreat very quickly and maybe it was the new surface which unsettled. Another change of environment and race condition may well help. Hopefully they will all go off way too quickly which will suit this horse in a race which could be a leveller with no whips.
    Each way
Satisfying 4th place and a real step up from turf debut. Big price just missed out on the place.

    Tellmeyourstory
Last runner for the trainer on a fruitless day despite several runners.
Dual winner here and a good chance of following up.

    Champagne Problem win
Another newcomer in the bumper for the champion trainer.
John Hanlon has one in here from John Gosden and this one should run well too.
    Copper point each way
Showed up well behind another Mullins bumper winner Lasparas finished in 5th that day.
Sometimes the straight forecast is too obvious.
A small part of me wants the each way to win and upset the favourite. But with only seven runners, there is no third place. So if you are backing a winner and an each way… in a small field, Minimum is reverse forecast, but happy with that result all the same.

    And finally
    Carlisle 8.05
    Buford win
    Detective,
    Act Of Magic
    Tarnhelm
    Banker tricast.

    And combination tricast
Buford looks well in unpenalised and able to run off winning mark. Turns out ago just a couple of days after last win. Detective looks the threat. So two tricasts are attempted.
Lesson for the day topweights are such because they are handicapped to win the race an ok start to the thread.
Highlight of today’s new thread had to be
Champagne Problem jockey struggling to restrain the horse all the way round and there is much more to come….

Hard to know what to expect this time, but on a career low mark. Class six race so signs encouraging again…….
