    Looking back through some of the articles concerning Frankel after the Greenham Stakes, I unearthed this gem that must have been one of the bets of a lifetime in retrospect:-

    Frankel will now bid to emulate Wollow (1976), also trained by Henry Cecil, in completing the Greenham-Guineas double on April 30.

    William Hill make Khalid Abdullah’s superstar 10-1 to remain unbeaten throughout the season.

    Yes I did see it at the time and thought to myself ‘Canford Cliffs will walk past this plodder on the bridle’ :lol:
