I am tickled by the image of Elegant Escape barging his way onto the horsebox demanding a lift to Sandown before strong-arming (strong-legging?) his way onto the course. After much protest and deliberation, the stewards decide it’s less hassle for all concerned to just pop a jockey on him and let him race.

….and win. Punters get paid out and then he’s disqualified after a SE. A bit like The Young Master a few years back.
Looking at the entries for Saturday, it appears that not a single one of the predictions was accurate, alas!
As other posters have commented, quite a few of the suggested horses have entered retirement now.
Blaklion is one of the few who is still going. Singlefarmpayment ran in one of the qualifiers in November, but is not declared for Saturday. Step Back also ran last month.
