After pulling up in yesterday’s Gold Cup he had to be put down this morning.
Simon Crisford, Godolphin’s racing manager, said, "Unfortunately he had to be put down this morning as he sustained quite a bad fracture to his cannon bone.
"We were trying to do surgery to save him but he couldn’t be saved."
Looked as though he had some potential and I must admit the news came as something of a shock. Having seen the horse go into the horse ambulance he did not look that bad, however we all know how complex a horses leg can be.
