The last major of the year and my main bet will be a suprise a lot.
HARRIS ENGLISH 125/1
Harris is a fine young player do not get the same press as Jordan Speith but this kid is every bit as good.Reasons i like him this week has good record on Jack Nicklaus courses like this one. This major goes to a player making there there breakthrough or winning 1st major. And English has that profile.
JUSTIN ROSE 20/1
Another trend is those placed at Bridgestone a week before end up winning this major.Like Jason Dufner last year and KEEGAN BRADLEY in 2011.Rose won 2events in a row before dissapointing in Open.He played well at Firestone. And can keep that trend strong.
RICKIE FOWLER 25/1
Rickie been playing well in majors this year always getting placed
he been working with Butch Harman and swing has improved now also belives he can win a major now too.KEEGAN BRADLEY 33/1
Keegan been in fine form played well at weekend at fave course and comes here in great form. he is peaking for this event and can make a big impact this week.
JORDAN SPEITH 40/1
No doubt he gone off the boil a bit since he missed out in masters but he is to damm good to be left out.Like English and my final pick is that profile of young unexposed player who does well at this major.
HIDECKI MATSYUMA 60/1
Best player to come out of Asia in a long time won Memorial open on debut there which is hard to do.A fine player who was not good at Hoylake but can bounce back at this course this week.
Any thoughts and what your guys bets this week
August 4, 2014 at 22:15 #487541Fowler for me as my main bet and probably Dubuisson and Mickelson if they’re fair prices too.

Do you always have all your bets before they tee off? Must admit I would be tempted to hold a couple back in case they all blew out in the first two rounds.

My bets –
£15 e/w Mickleson 25/1 – played well at the course in the 2000 PGA and in the 2008 Ryder Cup
£11 e/w Jim Furky 35/1 – played well at the course in the 2008 Ryder Cup and is in superb form at the moment
£4 e/w Steve Stricker 125/1 – played very well at the course in the 2008 Ryder Cup and though he’s not in the form he was then I think 125/1 is too big.
Good luck everyone, hopefully at least one of us has the winner!

Furyk got off to a flying start yesturday so hope he can maintain.
Mickleson doing alright just need him to pick it up a little to stop the leaders getting out of reach.
Stricker having a great 2nd day so far let’s hope he can keep it up.
