yesterday,i had the pride to watch two phantastic achievements by jockeys(and theirrespective horses of course..)!the first one was jay pemberton on alderluck at plumpton.you culd be nothing but impressed with how he was nearly on his nose over the last two hurdles, and still managing to win it!but of course, all credit to horse too,who stuck to his guns impressively.the second example was andy thornton at warwick, riding doctor david.i think,it was the last before the straight, where doctor david making a dreadful blunder, which neraly shot andy up to the air,but he managed to stay in the saddle, and even more, had a winning chance before the last.so,that day once again proved me so right,in being a N.H: enthusiast!!
so guys,IMO these two rides are in for the title of ride of the year!let me know, what you think..

I saw both races but neither ride caught my eye.

November 5, 2008 at 23:40 #188190A horse ridden by Andrew Thornton that made a dreadful blunder? No, surely there’s some mistake. On an unrelated note, did anyone see how Nicto de Beauchene got on today.
November 5, 2008 at 23:47 #188191Pretty sure Nicto fell DJ, from what I remember he was about 5 or 6 lengths down in 2nd when he fell at the top of the straight. The pair were clear at the time, personally don’t think he’d have got past the winner but you never know.
Great ride from McCoy at Chepstow too and the kid Fahy on the Williams gamble at the same course.

Es wird als "phantastisch" auf Deutsch buchstabiert, nicht wahr, Andythornton?

ok,there are always differing opinions(which is quite good,of course..),but it stuns me a bit, that those rides didnt impress you.as for me,i follow the N.H. scene for a long time now,but i have seldom seen such great recoverys!but thats ok,mate.i would be happy,if you post here in the future, when a ride(or a recovery) impressed you so much, that you might tell,so that we can share our views.just for the interest.have a great day,
andy
November 7, 2008 at 21:03 #188627that was nearly a copy of the ride on monday by andy.this man is purely sensational!this time,it was on liberty ben at fontwell.he is so impressive.i hope,at least this time,it was noticed by some of you.
