Was touched off by a Joseph O’Brien newcomer, who has won twice now.
The other horse he touched off was picpoul who runs later today over two miles from 16 lbs out of the handicap.
Should not have a hope of carrying that off over two miles but the price will reflect that.
I just have the suspicion that white marlin was hiding something of his ability to protect future handicap mark.
Picpoul has an Each way outside chance today.
All respect to Hugh Taylor who puts up one two or three selections each day. If he gets it wrong however, that leave some very good value amongst the other runners as his picks are overbet. So every now and then I’ll study his race

Daintree won over this trip last time and although not well treated here, does get weight from rivals and is the only (recent) winner in this race

In the opening race at Dundalk.
This one showed good early speed before running third to two very decent sorts in National Gallery and Ano Syra ( runs later).
Dropped in trip for this open looking sprint race.
Joseph O’Brien bagged the first two races here last time.
There are only six runners of varying ability and although this runner shares top weight jockey takes it all off with claim.
Form of praise is well in here with Daintree by 18 lbs on their last meeting but I’m hoping the performance of Hypanova last time stands well to him here…..Super run by Hypanova gave Daintree the tow he needed. Hypanova will find a race but would benefit from much further by the looks of things. I’d look to rest him now a month or two and put him in a maiden over a mile on turf in the spring, but I’m not the trainer.

Dreams in the park is a big danger but I’m hoping the hurdle run already gained will give the selection the edge….Mick Channon has still got it!
Those windmill celebrations for the saints are fresh in the mind. Excellent performance by the winner and Gary Moore chalks up 200 winners at Plumpton. I hope this can be his year in some big races. Certainly given me a few winners this season. Stable going great guns.Plumpton

Kings view has run multiple times and must be the most raced maiden around here, but has lots of talent and recent runs suggest a first win is imminent.
