You can post as many or as few selections as you like BUT YOU MUST POST SELECTIONS FOR AT LEAST 60% OF THE SATURDAYS AND EACH DAY OF CHELTENHAM AND AINTREE to qualify.
I assume that this rule means that if you miss the occasional day as long as you make the 60% then it’s okay.
November 18, 2012 at 15:56 #420262Thanks Red Rum I’m hoping that’s OK then
It was the bit about posting for each day of Cheltenham that threw me but I presume Cormack means The Festival in March.
Mum was unwell so racing was last thing on my mind today..JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 18, 2012 at 21:45 #420296What was Pricewise (Tom’s) selection?
I didn’t see a paper, but did record channel 4 racing on both days and according to Tanya Stevenson pricewise selected.
ABNAKI on SATURDAY, finished in 11th place at Cheltenham 3.05 &
GLAM GERRY on SUNDAY, finished in 5th place at Cheltenham 2.50So if these are correct then Pricewise drew a blank this weekend, but what’s the score amongst us?
November 19, 2012 at 01:44 #420299This is an unofficial record of the scoring over the first weekend.

Could someone check these, please and same again next weekend Cormack, I assume.November 19, 2012 at 09:40 #420313Hi Red Rum, I cant believe out of 28 entries nobody buys the bloody racing post to check pricewise. , Well done with Double Ross by the way.
I got a few differences in the scoring.
I had Aaronizneez down as void as he missed the 12pm deadline, is forum clock correct?
Blunkett I got -2.25 instead of -2.00 as his winner Our Father priced 3/1 but missed 10pm night before deadline so I scored him at sp 11/4.
CJ80 I got +3.00 instead of +5.00 think you missed the two losers on Sunday?
Hot Fuss +3.22, you might have missed winner on Wishful Thinking?
jbale -4.90
Harry the Viking, Grand Crus, Hezmah, Oscars Wells, Domination, Fox Run losers, Captain Conan winner 11/10 returned 2.10 pts.
staked 7 take away 2.10 = -4.90
Venture To Cognac I got -12.00 instead of -11.00. You might have missed a loser or I might have missed a non runner?
edit
– I just gone back through and have CJ80 winner Ballista 9/1 missed 10pm deadline for price so recorded him at SP 7/1.

Saturday’s tips from Pricewise were
Harry The Viking (7-1) – 1.55 Cheltenham
Hezmah (7-1) – 2.50 Lingfield
Lovcen (6-1) – 3.05 Cheltenham
Abnaki (12-1) – 3.05 CheltenhamThat’s 4 losers for the great man but sorry can’t help with Sunday’s tips.
November 19, 2012 at 17:43 #420331Thanks Pat.
I’ve just nipped up the bookies and asked for yesterday’s racing post, which pricewise had the only 1 selection Glam Gerry. Have updated the table.

I work in a large shop which sells it, will check it on Saturday if they still have an unsold issue when I finish, but don’t work on Sundays.
Also you’re probably right with the scoring because I didn’t check the clock and so some would have missed out on better prices.
November 19, 2012 at 20:56 #420345Great work Nathan. Need a couple of rule tweaks for next weekend I think and maybe a fresh thread each week to avoid a big clutter. Great start to those in profit.

May I propose that Selections are worked to SP after all, Pricewise says he calculates his profits that way. Although once he’s tipped in the paper the price generally drops because of his popularity.
I realise that my 20/1 winner would have only been 14/1 with this new rule, but to lead after a season takes more than one good piece of fortune.
Still win only, and can nominate more than one.
