2pts win Boylesports @ 9/2Incidentally, for those in the Silver Concorde camp, before you part with any hard earned consider Weld’s comments in today’s RP in the aftermath of the Deloitte.
"I doubt Silver Concorde will be going to Cheltenham. He does want spring ground, though, so we’ll review it and see where we go with him."
Make of that what you will

February 9, 2015 at 11:44 #504777Was going for Silver Concorde before I saw the last post as he only had the Supreme on the Agenda but now after much deliberation can’t really see anything but Douvan winning this so sorry this is boring but…

JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 9, 2015 at 12:08 #504783Al Ferof is going to miss Cheltenham but they hope to have him back for Aintree and Punchestown.
The problem is said to be:-
He has a partially entrapped epiglottis which requires minor corrective surgery.
I’m not sure if that qualifies for a swap if anyone has selected him for this competition but thought I would point it out in case anyone has him and wants to pick another one in his place.
The "gaffer" will make the call on the "partially entrapped epiglottis", I think I’ll call it PEE for short, I like the thought of a horse having missed a race because he had a pee.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Which race is Apache Stronghold 20/1 for? I thought he was headed for the JLT?
Steve, I believe the price on Apache for The RSA held up for a while, as it looks most likely he’ll be heading for JLT. He’s still available at 14’s just now for it. I wasn’t able to monitor any prices put up yesterday, so can’t confirm myself. Peter’s a pretty straight poster, but I’ll confirm with him the 20’s was available at time of posting.
I wasn’t suggesting that there was anything amiss with the odds, it’s just that I thought Apache Stronghold was headed for the JLT and was a bit puzzled that someone was putting him up for the RSA. He’s as low as 5/1 for the JLT and a top price of 8/1, so it seemed that was the more likely race.
The trainer said after the race:-
I’d have to be thinking in terms of the JLT now – I’ll see what Paul (Carberry) has to say – but I’d say we’d have to think that way.
I suppose I should just shut up, instead of trying to help the opposition. Anyway, no offence was intended or any jiggery-pokery implied.

Any more of these antics and people might get peesed off.
