Honeysuckle tops the Ten To Follow scoring charts yet again.
Most of you had her, but no change at the top. Autumnal and THM got the bonus points with Echoes In Rain

Honeysuckle 51.1April 30, 2022 at 16:24 #1596386Very well done to Buckers who wins this for a second time, nabbing Hot Fuss close home. Agonising for Hot Fuss, but a great effort either way from the pair of you, and it made for great viewing watching it develop during the week.
That’s four of the last five runnings been won by Euroalien and Buckers, and Aliens late surge up the table didn’t go unnoticed. Handicap Marks for the pair of you next season.
All joking aside, well done again Buckers and Hot Fuss, and also Jeff who made it into third.
As ever, thanks to everyone who took part, and I hope you enjoyed it, while the invaluable assistance of Aaronizneez is greatly appreciated yet again. Thanks mate.
Last but not least, thank you to everyone who generously donated to the prize fund. I hope I’ve not missed anybody out.

Thanks a million VtC and aaronizneez, see you back in the autumn and I’ll try to resist the urge to include my left field underachieving wildcards!
April 30, 2022 at 17:18 #1596396Thanks for running this VtC. Great showing from Buckers!
May 1, 2022 at 12:00 #1596483Well done winners, some amazing scores.
My less than stunning finishing position is the highest in the table that I reached all season – was just starting to warm up

Thanks for all your efforts VtC and Aaronizneez.
May 1, 2022 at 12:16 #1596486Well done Buckers for the win, and to the prize winners. Thanks for the updates VTC.
May 1, 2022 at 14:48 #1596507Congratulations Buckers
– a storming finish to win this by a short-head in the last week. It was very exciting watching it all unfold this week and a great points total too. Well done Hot Fuss, you lead the comp for such a long time, agonizingly close in the end. Well done also to Jeff for finishing third. For me it came down to two poor selections (Dysart Dynamo & Minella Indo) and a poor swap which cost me any chance of getting closer than 6th this year.
Bobby, thanks again for all the hard work that goes into running this comp. Very well run and lots of fun. All your efforts are very much appreciated!
May 1, 2022 at 15:28 #1596512Love this competition and it goes right to the last day to find the
winner. Well done Buckers, brilliant win
A sore one Hot Fuss, so near but a great effort in 2nd.
Well done All Jeff getting that 3rd place on the podium.
Many thanks to Bobby who takes on this monster every year,
many thanks it’s a great competition and Aaronizneez assistance
is greatly appreciated
May 1, 2022 at 15:30 #1596514Hello
Could I echo the sentiments made by most contributors about
this competition. Well done Buckers and Hot Fuss for your
selections and such high totals. Thanks to Vtc for running and scoring on a daily basis.
My own score was well below the top selections but the enjoyment
and interest generated makes up for my poor performance.
I like the format of just one entry for all of us and no
restrictions of what horses can be chosen.Once again many thanks
May 1, 2022 at 17:01 #1596545Well done Buckers, Hot Fuss and All Jeff.
Thanks VtC for the major task in organising this competition. Maybe we can rendezvous at Hamilton or Ayr sometime so you can present the Wooden Spoon?
I managed to find one or two decent dark ones, one of which (West Lawn) waited until I’d ditched her before emerging from the shadows! Turned out my sources were right, just didn’t have the patience. I did at least have a real top notch performer in Ahoy Senor, quite possibly the best chaser trained in Scotland in living memory.
May 1, 2022 at 23:08 #1596616Brilliant score buckers, well done lad
Thanks to Vtc for all the hard work that goes into running this, you are a starGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 2, 2022 at 09:21 #1596651Brilliant contest VTC, my competition fell apart at Cheltenham. Knew the substitution stage would be important but the rest of my team wasn’t good enough either or had the going totally against them. Will look harder next time.
Hot Fuss unlucky to be leading for so long only to be pipped at the post, still runner up not bad.
Well done Buckers
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.May 3, 2022 at 17:27 #1596822Well done Buckers you put your head down right on the line there after what has to be the best comp yet..As per usual without Bob VTC running the show it wouldn’t exist and it certainly gives me the encouragement to study harder so thanks for motivating us again Bob.I am one of the most loyal punters around when it comes to following a horse so to ditch Klassical dream was a big error on my part. This comp shows year on year just what a knowledgeable team we are..I shall be busy backing The Nice Guy for the RSA next year now as he looks like a Gold cup horse so won’t have half a dozen entries for next year’s Cheltenham..Good luck all..We need it.
May 3, 2022 at 23:09 #1596845Well done Buckers, Hot Fuss and All Jeff and echo to all that TAPK said above what a great competition this is.sadly I am absolutely hopeless at it.
unlike the top 3 and serial winner and high roller my mate Andre (Euroalien) some really knowledgeable tipsters on here. Many thanks to Bobby for all the hours of hard work he has put into this and no doubt you are now looking to be taking it easy Bobby and nobody would blame you..look forward to the next one. Jac x
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 4, 2022 at 01:29 #1596851Well done Buckers ! That was some entry, as was that of Hot Fuss who kept you keen ! And thank you Bobby for all your diligence in keeping the scores updated so promptly throughout the season – you make it seem so easy ! I’m very pleased to have finished as high up the table as I did – I’ll be back again in the Autumn to try to improve on it. I’ll sign off till then as I don’t know one end of a Flat horse from the other !!
May 6, 2022 at 13:54 #1597056Thank everyone for the kind words. I’m delighted to have made the frame.
Well done Buckers and Hot Fuss, and thanks to VtC for all your efforts
May 31, 2022 at 12:17 #1599880I’m sorry for my late response everyone, but I’d just like to say that I appreciated all of the kind words.
I can’t believe that I won this again, though there was a fair bit of luck along the way. If Galopin Des Champs hadn’t came down, then Hot Fuss would have been a very well deserved winner. It was a great team you had Hot Fuss + if there’s any justice you’ll win it next time.
Thanks to Venture for this amazing competition, which gets better every year + I’m already looking forward to attempting to defend my crown in the next one.
