I pulled up at Goodwood and before I could wind up my window a lady with an Irish accent had grabbed my hand and put the heather in it and told me that Frankie Dettori would have at least three winners, when I finally was able to get out the car and tried returning the heather she just demanded money and wouldn’t take the heather back so I just walked off with it without giving her anything, about a minute from the course a beautiful young lady was walking by so I gave her the heather and said to her ‘put your life savings on Toronado to stuff Dawn Approach in the Sussex stakes, I know Triptych and TAPK won thousands between them on Dawn Approach winning the guineas and St James Palace Stakes but Manning always unbalances his horse at Goodwood and Richard Hughes is king of the place and Toronado has grown into a bull and can I have your phone number?’

. Still at least you had a short conversation with someone you’re never likely to see again..

Transfer Window is now open, but a word of advice though for your transfers. Once they’re made, they’re made, so be careful. Don’t rush in and make them if your new horses aren’t due out, as they could get injured without getting a run in. Also, just a reminder that if you transfer out your star horse, you don’t get to pick a new one.

Many Clouds gets 12 points for BigG, Peter, Red Rum 77, TAPK, and Trip, as he was runner up in The Bonus Race. This gets Peter back into the top 3, but if he doesn’t do his picks soon for the “Pricewise” comp, I’ll be deducting him a fair few points here
What a pick from THM, as Yanworth becomes the first horse to win 4 times in this comp.
An equally good pick has been Thistlecrack, another awesome performance today, and more points for Fair Along.
