It’s been requested by a variety of members over the years and, like all good ideas, its time has finally arrived.

    "THE TRF HALL OF FAME"

We’ll add more every year as part of the TRF Awards but to get things going let’s start with the following –

    10 hurdlers
    10 chasers
    15 flat horses
    5 jockeys
    5 trainers
and 3 others (owners, commentators, administrators, lads, etc)

We’ll have a vote on teh final list but we need nominations, and lots of them so who do YOU think should be included.

Flat Horses – Dayjur. I highly doubt this fellow will make the final 10 but I nominate him because without doubt he is up there with the greatest sprinters that have raced. He’s certainly by far and away the best from the last 20 years or so.

National Hunt – Desert Orchid, Istabraq

Trainers – Henry Cecil, Nicky Henderson

Jockeys – Steve Cauthen, Richard Dunwoody.

    Others – Peter O’Sullivan

To be honest, we might as well not bother to have a poll, and just go along with Ugly Mare’s selections. I can’t see that there are too many quibbles amongst them.

edit: Rags To Riches is having a rendezvous with Giant’s Causeway.
