Villian of the year – stablemate Delta Work spoiled Tiger Rolls swansong. Although both got a splendid applause on the way in to winners enclosure together

December 18, 2022 at 21:59 #1627316Poster of the year
Marlingford or Ham. Marlingford comes across as a very decent person, level headed poster, and often the voice of reason. Ham is definitely one of the more knowledgeable commentators on the game, and takes a position on a horse, and stands by it. Both of them also pick and choose when to post, unlike some who feel the need to post on every single thread that’s been started. Two quality, all round posters.Flat horse of the year – Baeed. Even with the loss, one of the very best.
Jumps horse of the year – Hewick. I know, not think, that Constitution Hill will be an all time great, but what a year for Hewick.
Flat jockey of the year – Buick
Flat trainer of the year – Appleby
Broadcaster of the year – Lydia Hislop
Racecourse of the year – SandownNo opinion on the other categories
December 18, 2022 at 22:01 #1627317Viking Flagship, could you please delete that link, as it’s carried over on to the following post.
I think that this continually happens with these links, but I won’t hold my breath with it getting sorted.

December 19, 2022 at 00:00 #1627355Many thanks for the nomination Sam, not sure I deserve it but it’s
nice to feel appreciated. I like to get involved where I can.Good luck to you, I think you would be a worthy winner
December 19, 2022 at 01:57 #1627364Blimey, just went to vote for poster of the year and had to do a double take when I saw my nomination! Thanks very much Kris, that really is a pleasant surprise. There are plenty of more deserving posters, but am chuffed to even get a mention when the quality of posting this year has been so high. Good luck to all.
December 19, 2022 at 04:22 #1627365It is 415am – I see I am up with Tippi, Euralien, Moehat, and Miss Woodford and 42 strange looking guests. My guess is, that of the visibles, I am the odd one out being the only colt. Thank you Tippi and Nathan Hughes for your earlier support, and what a ferocious looking list of contenders in the Big One. I will give the Big Green Giant (Davies) a leg up in the form of my vote now, to push him further into the lead with 3 votes.
P.S. Where is thread of the year ?
December 19, 2022 at 06:26 #1627369Gamble I’m waiting on which thread of Bachelor’s you have nominated?

Should have been gelded years ago. Might have saved everyone a lot of trouble.
December 19, 2022 at 07:57 #1627373I am no mind reader Nathan but you can put my waywardness and imprecision down to the fact I am entire. I think it was the 2 year old thread started by Ian Davies and invested in by Bachelor’s Hall.
December 19, 2022 at 07:59 #1627374Many thanks to gamble and all those who have voted for me so far after CAS’s kind nomination.
It’s much appreciated.
TRF brings me so much joy – it’s my constant companion.
I’m aware I do post rather a lot, but there are so many interesting threads to form and express opinions on and I love engaging with others, whether heartily agreeing, or tabling a contrary view.
This really is a great forum, with so many interesting, knowledgeable and often witty contributors, and not just those put up for this vote.
It’s been a difficult year in the real world, but a great year on TRF – so much positivity.
I look forward to seeing the thread of the year vote unfolding now gamble has made his position clear to Nathan.

Bach did put up a good thread about the “features” and gambling and thought it could have been that oneI’ve got an appointment so going out soon. I’ll put the thread of the year up when I get back

December 19, 2022 at 11:30 #1627387Nicely put Ian. It’s a dispiriting experience to start a thread only to see it get no response and die a slow and painful death (though I know gamble finds such threads a source of fascination!).
Your contributions have got debate going on many a thread that would otherwise have suffered such a fate.
December 19, 2022 at 18:48 #1627480Tha is for doing this again Nathan. Always great to join in and fun voting.
And everyone it’s all just abit of fun so to get a mention be proud
no matter what the overall vote result is
And of course look forward to the forthcoming year on the forum

Thank you, Marlingford – that’s always the general idea.
The more people who post, and the greater the frequency of their postings, the even better the forum becomes in my opinion.
