BENTONG does not hold the prime rating, however Trainer has 100% record at present with strongly bet runners. There is evidence that Bentong will hold firm in the betting market and as such will be a serious candidate who is drawn high along with other fancied runners similarly drawn. The jockey and runner support the good %’s with 67% & 50% respectively.

    Selection BENTONG. Loss

    Alex

Congratulations on keeping this thread going for very nearly a year, and managing to end up in profit. In my book, both of the above are notable achievements.

This part of the forum has been very quiet lately, so I aim to revive a thread I started a few years back which looked at a method using ratings and other information from the Racing Post. I’ve made a few significant changes and also now that the forum is under new ownership I think perhaps we owe it to Cormack to try to create a bit of interest in this part of the forum. Your own contribution has set a good standard to follow.

Would like to echo those sentiments. Don’t look in here as often as I should, but a real achievement to be in profit over that period of time.

Would also look forward to seeing your method again, Artemis

    Thanks folks
Its good to know that there is ongoing interest.
I have to say that now I cannot bet unless i’ve
produced this trainer trace data as a guide. I suppose that fact in itself is an indication of the strength of the system which I bet now exclusively.
Alex
The distance of 12f is the key to this race. At 10f Chantoco has by far the best form & at 12f both Chantaco and Young Mick look evenly matched. The same cannot be said of Nero’s Return who looks to have best form at around a mile. Notwithstanding Nero’s Return’s trainer %’s the runner has poor %’s with 37 runs and only once seriously bet when losing. The rating is also not up to this Cl2 event.

LAY Nero’s Return PROFIT 1 pt

Thanks for your comments and support with this thread.
On another note; its becomming a bit annoying having all these non runners with the new 48 declarations.
I’m afraid a backward step that will be here to stay and likewise the related problem not knowing which runners are definitely going to take part. I bet the place betting gets muddied with 8 or 16 runner races having their numbers mysteriously cut to aviod the full places.
Shame about this.

    Yes, of course.
I’ll sort this and because there are occasional LAYS I will factor in the risk amount when these are selected.
It will take a few days.
Thanks for the interest. Check at the week end and I should include the ROI with the running total figure at the end of the thread each day next week.
A good field here for this genuine Cl2 event. COME OUT FIGHTING has run on nine previous occasions without a rating above (68) achieved in a 5f event at Hamilton last year. The form is not good enough to win here.(Best at 6f is 63) Odds available to lay at present 13/2
