Really looking forward to this – I’m going down to HQ for the meeting and the whole card looks like a superb days racing.
After yesterdays’ win, Presvis is at the forefront of all of the bookmakers minds. However, an interview with Luca Cumani may have just given the impression that Presvis wont be in HQ in two weeks time due to considerations about campaigning the horse over 1m4f and of course the time before the race.
I can see Swop definitely being Cumani’s no.1 horse for this. Swop has had a good cool off period since its last race and could be an interesting antepost bet at 10/1.
Perks is backable after a dissapointing run in Ayr yesterday. Down from 8/1 to 15/1 on BF. Perks loves GS ground and the law of averages may suggest that Perks might just get that at the beginning of October. Anything better than GS may just be unpreferred.
Premiere Loco was superb at Kempton a few weeks back and won with a clear advantage even after getting knocked about and being boxed in. Albeit Premiere Loco’s form is all on the AW could this be a good bet at 12/1? If the horse handles the green stuff then this could actually be a penalty kick. However, a big IF.
A great race in prospect and for now I’m siding with Swop in my head
September 23, 2008 at 19:21 #182103Should he get a run I would expect Indian Days to go close. Did well at Newbury as the lack of early pace would not have done him any favours and I can’t see the same happening in the Cambridgeshire.
September 23, 2008 at 19:39 #182109Shush bairn, they are praying for a run in Lincolnshire.
October 4, 2008 at 01:20 #183273Any ideas ?
I do quite like Yadree. He had what was probably was an impossible task behind Perfect Stride at Ascot two runs back. His recent beating of Cat Junior at Newbury could be interpreted as a very good run, to about OR 117, which would put him 13lb well in. I’m not sure if the race can be taken that literally though, but I’m guessing he’s better than a OR104 horse.
Of the big price horses, I’ve seen worse 150/1 shots than Raptor, although he probably would need some rain. He hasn’t shown much since finishing 12th in this race last year off OR102. He’s now 9lb lower, & you just have to guess whether he’s just lost his way, is out of form, or has been prepped for this all year (they’ve run him over all sorts of trip this year, he ran in the Ayr Gold Cup last time!). Whatever, he’s a complete gamble, but on his 06/07 form, maybe not ?
October 4, 2008 at 01:42 #183275Indian Days makes the cut – but has a stone bruise and may wel be pulled out in the morning. Cruel game this some times.
Feared in Flight has Group form as a 2yo and is lurking down the weights at a monster price.
October 4, 2008 at 03:15 #183287Watch out for Military Power. Under Liam Jones this one could run a very big race
Of the others, Prince Kalamoun hasnt come in from 33-1 antepost to 9-1 for no reason.
If Premio Loco can handle the turf this time round the 9-1 will look very big as will the 28-1 on Little White Lie if he takes to the extra furlong.
2pts Military Power
2pts Premio Loco
1pt Little White Lie (EW)October 4, 2008 at 04:14 #183294AnonymousInactive- Total Posts 17716
I had originally opted for Military Power, but a rapid re-assessment of the race has seen me swtich my allegiance to Docofthebay. Quite why the headgear has been left off is a bit of a mystery, but there can be few arguments with his big handicap form and conditions would appear to be ideal (trip, ground and draw).
At a much bigger price, Raptor is taken to make the frame.
Docofthebay
1.5 points each-way @ 25/1
Raptor
0.5 points each-way @ 150/1October 4, 2008 at 12:38 #183305Morning all, having crossed the T’s and dotted the I’s i will have these three.
My main two are Yaddree and Fifteen Love and one at a price although more in hope than expectation Watamu.
To all those who have selected and to those who have not the best of luck.
Adrian.
October 4, 2008 at 16:07 #183332Some doubt over the ground and the trip but my pin has selected Little White Lie ew for this cavalry charge.
October 4, 2008 at 16:56 #183337Just considering the weights my order of merit would be and ‘dutching’ 3 of them would be the best available bet IMO:
2 Docofthebay
26 Feared In Flight
16 Master Of Arts
19 Virtual
18 YadreeOctober 4, 2008 at 16:59 #183339Have backed the following :
Virtual
Yaddree
Indian Days (before steeping on a stone)
Ada River
I think Ada River is very unexposed and could run a huge race todayOctober 4, 2008 at 17:15 #183342Hello,
TAZEEZ @ 50/1 in places is a steal. I would completely ignore his last run when hampered, and his profile for this race is spot on.
I will also have a little on ASK THE BUTLER. Luca is afeared that he may not have sufficient finishing speed, but we will see..regards,
doyley
October 4, 2008 at 17:29 #183344I think I’ll play
Fifteen Love @ 16-1
Masterofarts @ 20-1
Ada River @ 22-1
Dont Panic @ 33-1 and
Dream Lodge e/w @ 150-1All look like good prices.
October 4, 2008 at 18:18 #183353Curby – Chin up, he is still in so presumably i have been misinformed.
October 4, 2008 at 19:28 #183364Fifteen love for me
