Looks like it’s a late rush, and it’s all the better for having
Neil, Mickey and Tonge and a few others that have thrown their hat
into the ring. Great to have you with us, that’s us up to 11. We
have enough now that we could have stepped into our Scotland boots,
pulled on the jersey and probably given the Czech’s more of a fright
    than they got today

Best of luck tomorrow guys, it looks like a terrific start to the
    meeting :good:

I’ve got my stable in order now Graham..would you believe that the Tote didn’t have Alenquer on their list of Royal Ascot horses every time I entered his name it came up as ‘list empty’ so I emailed them and got a quick response ..they said his name would be added this afternoon and it was around 4pm when I finally got him in my Stable..
Have a couple of outside chances and some old favourites.
Really looking forward to this..Tuesday is my favourite day of them all so fingers crossed.
Best of luck to all .. Jac :bye:

Quite right sticking it to them Jac, what on earth were they thinking
about leaving him out when he’s near enough fav for the King Eddie VII
Stakes. I like Tuesday too Jac, I’ve got a few at decent ante post
odds bet and in my ante post thread. By God I need them in there, I’m
going to have to do a Jamie Spencer to climb that leader board. Probably
more like Frank Spencer but hey-ho

I think I’d better go and have a double Horlicks, I’ll maybe add a little
something into it or I’ll be counting horses all night

There is a Search Engine Nathan it just isn’t very visible close to the All HORSES list..great help I know  . I only found it for the first time doing my Royal Ascot Stable.

Looks like lots of points with Palace Pier winning today and I was over the moon with Arecibo’s run in the Kings Stand behind Oxted and in front of Battaash..at 28/1 SP he earned me a fantastic 20.25 points for coming 2nd.

Well done to all with winners on Day 1 and now for Day 2 and hopefully a little Love will be in the air.

Yes Graham it amazes me how they could leave a horse like Alenquer out of the list and another of mine was also added late Air To Air who runs on Thursday. Thought your Sir Busker ran a really nice race today, good luck for the rest of the week and to all of us.

Can’t believe Reshoun 66/1 was sent to me on my Sporting Life tracker along with about 8 others and I left him out…doh I just didn’t check my emails until after racing..that’ll teach me.. what a doughnut.

Thought it harsh that Will Buick received 11 days for overuse of the whip he rode a terrific finish on him and this could cost him the Championship.

Best of luck to us all for the rest of a fantastic meeting.

Well a few bounced out the stalls on the 1st day and Palace Pier lived up
to the hype by strolling away with the opener today. Threenaps and Neil’s
Ascot Groupies were just as quick out the stalls too with PP (52.21 Points)
and Poetic Flare (31.50 Points) who is turning into the horse of the year
with another blistering performance in the St James Palace. A great total of 83.71 Points
and a great start for you guys well done :good:

Jac’s Dark Angels are just sitting on their heels though, again with Palace Pier
but also with a great run in 2nd from Arecebo in the King’s Stand at a very
healthy 22/1 (20.25 Points). A great opening 72.46 Points Jac :good:

Numpty and Swinley’s Bottom both had Palace Pier and Battleground
(3.05 Points) for a decent start and 55.26 Points on the board.

Nathan (White Custard Reserves) FF91 and Bourne Ascot were others who didn’t
turn up the chance of sticking Palace Pier into their stable and sit happily
    midfield with 52.21 Points

Trailing the pack, and needing a good talking to by themselves are myself, Ascot Aces and
Lots Of Speed who both most definitely did look a gift horse in the mouth with PP

Only day 1 though so still time enough for a shake up with 4 to go. Terrific racing today,
I hope you all made a good few bob :good:

    Wednesday Update

Threenaps is piling on the Love, and why not with a great 52.76 for her
win in the Prince of Wales Stakes. I though for a moment that Audarya was
going to pull me out of the mire and get me some decent points, but Love
doesn’t know how to lie down, she is one tough filly. Lady Bowthorpe
was put in her place by Indie Angel in the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, but
added 1.70 points to keep Threenaps at the top of the tree with a fine total
of 138.17. keep firing them in Threenaps :good:

In fact there couldn’t have been a bigger Love in, had the race been run at
Woodstock :rose: Neil’s Ascot Groupies, Dark Angels, White Custard Reserves,
Michael Walsh, FF91, Bourne Ascot and Lots Of Speed all threw their keys in the
bowl and picked up the 52.76 points.

The upshot was that the top 3 all held their places and with Numpty and Swinley’s bottom,
4th and 5th last week, missing out on Love it allowed those with her to move up a couple.

All eyes will be on the Gold Cup tomorrow and the big question is can Frankie steer
Stradivarius to yet another Cup. I’ve backed Truesham in the ante
post thread at 8s, but I won’t begrudge Strad the win if he pulls it off again.

Best of luck tomorrow all :good:

    Thursday Update

Well a superb run up the rails sees Jac (Dark Angels), with just a couple of furlongs
(1 day = 1 furlong) to go, take the lead. Subjectivist broke a few Strad fans
hearts, but Joe Fanning, pension book sticking out his back pocket, made his way
for home a couple out and nothing was going to catch him. Jac has played a blinder
by having the winner of the Hampton Court Stakes, Mohaafeth, and notched a great 1
day tally of 76.65 Points. Top scorer by a county mile Jac and top of the league too.
    Brilliant stuff :yahoo:

Threenaps was another with the very popular Mohaafeth and the 118.10 Points together
with the 1.85 Points for runner up Sir Lamorak in the King George V Stakes has him
taking spot 2 in the league. Well done :good:

Neil’s Ascot Groupies, drew a blank today but still managed to stay in the top 3.
A good day tomorrow Neil and you can be back challenging up at the top :good:

Others who were in Mohaafeth’s camp were Nathan’s White Custard Reserves and
Michael Walsh, who hold their positions at 4 and 5. Nothing between you two guys,
just .20 of a Point splits you. A nice one for you with Mohaafeth, even though he
did barge my Roman Emperor. Not that I’m at all miffed :-(

My alternative stable, Ascot Aces, is now doing well as an alternative to anything
resembling a decent stable. The stewards have had me in for a word, and declared
    it officially sh*t

The big 2 tomorrow are the Commonwealth Cup and the Coronation Stakes. I think that
both are wide open with half the field at least in both with decent shouts. You’ll
just need to get your lucky pins ready B-)

Best of luck tomorrow all, it looks a tough day

Friday Update 2nd attempt after having lost the whole bloody thing

What does this year’s UK’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest and the TRF Friday
League have in common, yep you’re right, they both scored nil point. So moving swiftly
on to our final day’s racing without further ado here’s how we stand.

Jac (Dark Angels) leads the way with Threenaps in pursuit in 2nd and Neil’s Ascot
Groupies close behind them in 3rd. The big race today, bonus points and all, is the
Diamond Jubilee Stakes. Neil will be hoping that the favourite, Dream Of Dreams
can claw him that bit nearer to the top and I think DOD has every chance of seeing
the others off. It’s a pity that Starman, who was popular with a few in here, won’t
    be in the line up.

Whether Big Liz makes an appearance on the final day is anyones guess, but it would be
quite fitting if her very own Kings Lynn, who is all the rage, were to
flounder through the mud to take the Wokingham. He may well do and it would be very
much to the advantage of Threenaps to finish with a bit of a flourish. If a 26 runner
cavalry charge down the Ascot Hill is your bag then this one is definitely for you :good:

The crown will be placed on the head of our winner some time this evening. All the
best for a good day’s punting one and all :good:

    Hi Graham.. :bye:
Wish you were doing the Tote updates as I actually have 231.68 after yesterday when Alenquer won and Snow Lantern and Hello You came 2nd.
I did message them AGAIN and they agreed they are running at snails pace updating the site..hopeless.

I can’t actually believe this but my Dark Angels were 5th in the Free Stable Leaderboard yesterday before Alenquer won but with the slow updates it is hard to know if 231.68 points would put me higher.
Have used all my stable now so no points today. Have to see how the results go today I’m a sitting duck for a fast finisher so fingers well and truly crossed.

Good luck to all today and thanks again Graham for your updates.. :good: Jac

Actually Graeme although the quick glance shows the points you’ve shown the actual points show something different. I suspect it’s all to do with the amended result. Which is poor from those working on the tote.

    Dark Angel 231.68
    Three Naps 158.12
    Neil’s Ascot Groupies 194.22
    White Custard Reserves 129.52

    Bourne Ascot 141.78
    Lots of Speed 57.96
Numpty at Royal Ascot free list 61.16
    Swinley’s Bottom 114.16
    Ascot Aces 17.35

Sorry about that guys, I did a quick check on the league scores as they were
showing in the early hours, and there was no movement. I took it at face value
without going through the individual stables. That’s a big feck up by the Tote,
and not their 1st ones either. I’ll wait until the dust settles today and then
check to see everything ties up.

Disgraceful from the Tote. For us it’s a bit of fun and bragging rights

However the money involved for some who entered. :negative:

I think you have nabbed top spot Neil and well done with Dream Of Dreams today, great tipping all week from yourself this Royal Ascot meeting. I think the clue was to target the Bonus races which you did…I’ll remember that for next time. :mail: :good:

I think we both managed to end up with the Top 70 of the Free Stable Leaderboard and that is some achievement out of so many entries.

The organisation of the competitions is really bad the points took an age to come through but as Neil says just the ‘bragging rights’ are worth it and it’s all a bit of good fun.

    Well done all players…Jac :rose:

Well that’s handy, the league tab in the Royal Ascot Competition has disappeared
What the feck else can these people get wrong !! I can’t even contact them as their tab
for enquiries has a notice saying they are aware of a settlement issue. I did take a copy
of the league an hour or so ago, and from what I was able to check on that time I think it
is probably correct. I hope I’m not going to do a Warren Beaty and hand out the Oscar to
the wrong Best Picture movie. So with a bit of trepidation, and with all the information
I’m likely to have, I’m declaring that the new King Of the TTTF Royal Ascot is Neil’s Ascot
    Groupies
    :yahoo:

Very well done Neil, you put together a great stable, and kept that final card up your sleeve,
Dream Of Dreams in the bonus Diamond Jubilee Stakes. That was what tipped it at the
end for you. Very well done Neil, fashion yourself some kind of crown and pour yourself a glass
    of bubbly :good:

Jac (Dark Angels), you put up a great fight and I thought that you had it going into the last
day, but as I said Neil had that extra card on the last day. Great attempt though Jac, you picked
a great stable. Very well played :good:

Michael (Walsh) I know you always come good in these competitions, I can’t get into your stable
now as they have closed the league, but you came with a late run to take the last podium place.
I think you may have been another Dream Of Dreams player, but whatever your last day’s play
was it was enough to grab 3rd place. Well done :good:

Well that’s this week done (I think) and unless the Tote throw another spanner in the works
then this is how we all finished. I got called into the stewards to explain my Ascot Aces
stable. I put forward my case of it being an alternative stable, but they weren’t wearing
it and I got stood down for 8 days for failing to put enough effort into my finishing position.
I’m not considering an appeal

Thanks for making the effort everyone to join up and make this an enjoyable week, despite
the Tote trying their best to feck it up. I hope you made a few quid into the bargain :good:

I got lucky as only half my party scored, but they were all Bonus points winners including the one which got it in the steward’s room. I think Frankie preferred to have finished first past the post, though.

Bonus points were the key if you were clever enough. :good: A great score Neil. :good:

Can’t believe The Tote took away the option too visit your League so swiftly Graham, they’re worse than Tesco taking down all the Christmas decs on Christmas Eve and filling the shelves with Easter Eggs.
    What an outfit.
