Week 14 Update.
Well very few movers this week, that is unless you are Red Jumpers 1 who
cemented his place at the top of the pile with Pic D’Orhy (52.63 points)
who stole the march on the others with a very cute race from Harry Cobden.
I doubt he will be allowed to get away with his smart start against the same
horses, the jockeys needed to wipe the sleep out of their eyes down at the
start. Great pic (see what I did ) Red and congratulations for now being
the one to catch. 493.40 pointsFF91 slips down to 2nd on a blank week but siiting just over 4 points off the
leader isn’t a bad place to be. 489.00 pointsEdantony managed to shift up a spot with Giovinco who won a match at Newcastle
but nevertheless it was worth 11.37 points and edges up Edan from 6th to 5th.
One step at a time is as good as a big jump. He’s one to watch. 450.06 pointsBobby (To Madeira) was one of the few that managed to pick out Pic D’Orhy the
winner of the Ascot Chase and picked up a nice 27.63 Points. Maybe Harry can
catch them out at the start again Bobby, if he does he’ll be hard to pull back
309.48 pointsHinton In The Hedges was the only one that spotted Nemean Lion who finally
managed to pull it all together and won the Kingwell Hurdle (23.50 points)
in good style. I got the impression from that that there’s more to come from
him Hinton.Nice one to follow. 296.38 pointsMurphy Plays The Jumps was another to have the winner of the 2 horse race
at Newcastle, Giovinco, (11.37 points). He’ll probably have more to race
against next time but he couldn’t have done it any easier. Lucinda Russell
has him in 2 for Cheltenham. He’s 25/1 for both, if you can work out where
he’s going that would be a decent e/w. 262.77 pointsBourne Losers have been fighting their way up from the basement area but had
another leg-up from Zanahiyr (13.90 points) who really impressed me with a
real fighting finish with another good horse Aspire Tower. The 2 pulled well
clear and the time, given the heavy conditions, was impressive. It looks like
he has been screaming out to jump a fence. He didn’t jump too well in his
1st race over them, but only went down to Fact To File. He’s got 3 entries
at Cheltenham and his odds are way bigger than they should be. If you can
get the nod from Gordon Elliot where he’s going he will be no pushover.
Very nice pick Bourne 238.62 points. As mentioned above, Giovinco (11.37 points) was a nice one for Hoy’s Boys
And Ladies. He could grab a few points at Cheltenham which would come in
handy. Decent looling horse 215.00 points.Barrow Raiders still has the weight of the league on their Shoulders but
with a bit of a dark horse of Mullins, Mister Policemen, he looked pretty
good at Punchestown breezing home from the rest. He doen’t appear to have
any entries at Cheltenham (at the moment) he could be one that Mullins
wants to keep at home or perhaps Aintrie is where he’s bound. Wherever
he’s headed, he looks the part. Very nicely picked out Barrow. Best of
luck with him 70.15 pointsSo that’s everyone accounted for this week. Some good racing at the weekend,
but the big guns are already put away wrapped in cottonwool for Chelters so
I don’t envisage much of a change this week.I love the Eider Chase and I would have fancied Anglers Crag had he not
slaughtered them all at Musselburgh last time out and the handicapper has
walloped on 11lbs. 11st isn’t a bad weight for this I just don’t know if
I’d throw it all in at 7/2. Christopher Wood has been frustrating after
looking fairly decent very early on. He was tried at an extended distance
last time out (Edinburgh National 3m 7f). It didn’t help that he made a
mess of the 3rd last although he would never have caught the fav, but he
did keep on well for third. Could this be what he needs?, maybe. Two Group 2 races at Kempton, I haven’t gone through them all yet, although
Pembroke at 11/2 might be good enough to beat the decent fav. That’s your lot, best of luck if you have anything running in the league,
there might be 1 or 2 and good luck if you’re having a punt. Here are the scores from the TTTF (jumps) site.

70.15February 21, 2024 at 00:29 #1681906I think much won’t change now until Cheltenham, plus the is the swaps to think about.

Many thanks to Graham (BigG) for his informative updates on this very addictive competition and well done to Neil and all those at the top of the Leaderboard who will be extremely hard to catch. 💫 Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 21, 2024 at 11:50 #1681943Good question,Jac.
Like Bobby’s version you’ll allowed up to 2 transfers.
The transfer window will operate between March 4th and March 11th before the Cheltenham Festival. This is to give people the chance to replace horses who may be out for the season, or simply to freshen up your list for the latter part of the season. You do not lose the points already scored from a horse if you substitute it out and the new horse will start scoring immediately after being substituted in.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 21, 2024 at 15:43 #1681976Thanks for confirming the transfer windows guys, I’m definitely
in need of a couple myselfFebruary 28, 2024 at 20:03 #1682905Week 15 Update
It’s like kids waiting for Christmas, a cat on a hot tin roof, an air
of eager expectancy….well you’ll just have to wait like the rest of us.
It’s 2 weeks away and I’ve no doubt it will turn the league on it’s head. However, we have to get on with the run-up which is somewhat uninspiring
this week owing to the fact that not a point was scored by any stable.
Hardly surprising with Cheltenham just round the corner.I can’t even make a case for the weekend. I suppose some competitive h’caps
and from a personal point of view I’ll be keeping an eye to see if an old
favourite of mine, Highland Hunter, takes to the course at Newbury for a
Vetrans Chase or goes to Kelso for their Premier Listed H’cap of the day.
I’ll be happy if gets round without coming to grief, he’s a big bold front
running grey, but in either race I’ll have a go. He seems more likely to go
for the Veterans race but he’ll have to carry top weight.Next week will at least Have the Imperial Cup run at Sandown, with the £100,000
bonus put up by Paddy Power for any horse that wins there and also any race at
Cheltenham. If a trainer has targeted this (you don’t get too many Martin Pipes
these days) it’s liable to have been kept under the radar and running of a good
mark. Blowing wind won it off a well conceiled 138 (could have won pulling a cart)
and went on to win the County Hurdle off 145. No betting yet for the Imperial Cup,
but it will be interesting to see who’s put forward.Good luck this week

70.15March 4, 2024 at 11:48 #1683525Don’t forget that the transfer window is now open and will remain open for a week.
The best things in life are free.
But you can give them to the birds and bees.March 4, 2024 at 20:54 #1683589Would be good if the Tote listed the time the window closes as obviously it would be best to have the Wednesday declarations just to be sure which horses were running in the Brown Advisory.
March 4, 2024 at 21:33 #1683590EP the transfer window is open between 4th and 11th March. Hopefully by that time
things should be a lot clearer as to who’s running in what. Good luckThanks Neil for reminding the league of the transfer window. I only got back about
an hour ago after a weekend away at my sis-in-law’s who has moved back from England
and settled in Kirkcaldy. I love Fife, used to take the boys on holiday to St Andrews.
Visited a nice harbour at Dysart this afternoon. I’d recommend Fife to anyone thinking
of getting away for a week or 2. So many interesting places to visit, especially if you’re
into history.March 5, 2024 at 00:03 #1683611The transfer window closes at 5pm. However, we are awaiting an update on this from the team tomorrow as the email that has gone out says 11am, so we are waiting for this to be confirmed.
EP The above is the latest position from the Tote.
Also the news from Barry Connell is that Marine Nationale has meet
with a setback and will need at least 6 weeks to recover. So that is two important non runners for next week after Constitution Hill being ruled out.
Many Thanks
March 5, 2024 at 09:23 #1683627Seems a bit of dispute about the final day of the swap John, if you get
a reply back I’d be obliged if you could update the league, and thanks
for looking into the matterYes it’s a pretty big blow with Constitution Hill and Marine Nationale
both out and a costly one for quite a few anti post backers.Just a week to go, before it, eh…..limps into action. Let’s hope
there are no more big fancied horses that get pulled out.March 5, 2024 at 17:08 #1683677Hello again
The tote have confirmed the time for the closing of the window for
any transfers. The ten to follow transfer is open until 5 PM on the 11/03/2024
So plenty of time to see what are the declarations for Wednesday.
Many Thanks
March 6, 2024 at 02:15 #1683741Thanks John for clearing that up
March 6, 2024 at 17:31 #1683802Thanks for the clarification.
March 7, 2024 at 19:47 #1683910Add Impaire Et Passe to your list John, he will also be on the missing list at Cheltenham this year.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 11, 2024 at 15:41 #1684558Final final warning…..1 hour to go for your 2 transfers
