Just to confirm that we will be going ahead with this year’s TTTF (jumps)
competition when it is open for entries on 31st October. Competition rules
etc will be published tomorrow when I will be able to set up a private TRF
League for others to join in.The usual £50 for the winner will remain, and I’m delighted to say, as last year,
my excellent friend and wingman, John Gooch, is putting in £25 so hopefully if we
get 20 stables or more then John’s £25 will go to the runner up. Should there be
less than 20 stables John and I will go 50/50 on the £50 for the winner. I’d be
surprised if we didn’t get 20 or more stables entered as it’s a cracking competition.
I’m assuming that entry prices will be as last year at £5 per paid entry but also
a free entry regardless if you buy a stable or not. As far as the TRF competition
is concerned, it makes no difference if you enter our league with a paid or free
entry, they will be treated the same. Obviously it does make a difference in prizes
in the Tote’s competition as paid entries are where the big prize money lies. There
are prizes for free entries from the Tote but a good deal lower.I’ll know more tomorrow when the competition opens and they print the rules for
the competition.Looking forward to the jumps, I think we tend to get more entries when it is the
jumps so likely we will have both the winner and runner up prize.I’ll print up the rules etc and open a league tomorrow. We always get a host of
entries from astute punters. Good luck to you all and I’ll get it up and running
tomorrowOctober 31, 2023 at 23:05 #1668706Well we are up and running with the TTTF (jumps) I’ve stuck in a Stable
just to get the league open, the good thing being that I can take a bit
more time and change my ten as many times as I like before the competition
opens at 11am on 18/11/23. I’ll put up some more info shortly but here are
the particulars to get you in.League name – theracingforum

More info to follow
November 1, 2023 at 01:04 #1668709The competition opens for entries at 11am on Tuesday 31st October 2023.
All stables must be registered by 11am on Saturday 18th November 2023.
Selections within stables may be changed freely until the deadline.
Ten to Follow points scoring starts at 11.00am on Saturday 18th November 2023
and finishes at 11.59pm on Saturday 13th April 2024. Competition starts on Paddy
Power Gold Cup Day at Cheltenham and ends on Grand National day at Aintree.
There is a seven-day transfer window at the start of March ahead of the Cheltenham
Festival, where all stables are allowed to make up to two substitutions. Can I maybe just bring up at this point that there is always a mad rush on the morning
of the start of the competition. I’d advise everyone to perhaps have their Stables in
by midnight on Friday 17th. For one thing, it saves me any headache if the Tote are a bit
slow on the morning of the start and Stables suddenly appearing in the league after the
11am kick off. I hate having to make the call whether we keep them in the league or say
they were too late to make the cut. Anyone entering after any race has taken place will
be ceremoniously thrown oot the windae. So to make life easy for me, please get your
entries in in plenty time.Points are awarded to horses who win or are placed in their races. The higher the grade
the more points are awarded. In addition there will be a further 21 “bonus” races (listed
below)As I mentioned earlier, entries are £5 (or 5.50 Euros if in Ireland) The TTTF competition,
should any of us be lucky enough to win it, is based on 60% of the pool. It’s generally
about 100 grand, but the Tote guarantee that anyway, so £60,000 at least to the overall
winner. Other prizes at reducing rates. You can check the rules if you want all the info. There is also a free Stable, regardless of you buying a Stable or not. Obviously the prize
is a lot less, £250 Tote vouchers but as I said either stable, paid or otherwise makes no
difference to any prize/prizes paid out in the TRF league competition.Bonus races and Scoring
Regular Points:
Grade 1 win – 25 points,
Grade 2 – 20 points,
Grade 3 (Premier Handicap) – 15 points,
Listed – 12 points,
Any other race – 10 points.
Points will also be awarded from returns of a £1 each-way bet on the Tote in each race a horse runs in. Example: £1 win at 5.50 + £1 place at 1.20 = 6.70 points awarded.
For races run in UK and Ireland, the returns will be based on the standard Tote dividend.
For races run overseas, the local tote return will be used (as published in the Racing Post)Bonus Races:

Coral Gold Cup (Newbury)
Tingle Creek Chase (Sandown)
King George VI Chase (Kempton)

terms and conditions if you want to. It’s not the easiest site to navigate, that’s
putting it lightly, so don’t worry about asking for any help, we’ve all been there.Best of luck
