November 6, 2022 at 18:47 #1622049Well done Inthestream, just remember that you can change any
horse/s right up to the the off at 11am on 12th November.Good luck
November 7, 2022 at 14:25 #1622119Well I have to thank the tote for taking our plea seriously and it seems that they
would have a problem doing a League of Leagues owing to to the main platform being
owned by Sportcaller, an outsourced betting technology provider, and the un-componentised
tech stack which limits ancillary builds. I also have to say that I believed the new Tote
Fantasy was just a new virtual game, which it isn’t, but a daily competition, similar in a
way tothe placepot. I appologise if I misled anyone on that score, it just sounded that way
to me. The platform is wholley owned and run by the tote, so they can consider any suggestions.
Not exactly what we were looking for but an explanation none the less and I thank Jamie Benson,
Head Of Fantasy, for taking the time to reply. Rather than try and explain it all myself, perhaps
a copy of the email would let all decide how they feel about it.Graham

to me, Cheryl
Hi Graham,
My colleague, Cheryl, has forwarded me on your correspondence about a “league of leagues” and I wanted to go back to you personally.
As I said in my response to you, we love how passionate our customers are and we listen to all ideas for new products and innovations. I’m fully familiar with the racing forum and know a few members personally so please don’t mistake this for dismissing you and your collective knowledge and enthusiasm for racing – I know that to be up there with anyone’s.
As I mentioned, we have development constraints with the Ten To Follow product and building out specific functionality for this wouldn’t be possible due to the main platform being owned by Sportcaller, an outsourced betting technology provider, and the un-componentised tech stack which limits ancillary builds. There is an existing private league functionality and although I appreciate this doesn’t include the functionality of a “league of leagues”, you can establish any league you wish and invite members from your and other forums as you wish.
The reason I suggested Tote Fantasy as a potential avenue for this development in the future is it is a wholly-owned proprietary platform that we have much more developmental control over. You are however mistaken on what Fantasy is.
I asked if you could “have a go on the new Fantasy product to start to understand that product ahead of private leagues being launched there in January,” which would have allowed you to see that this isn’t based on “virtuals” it is simply a new way of enjoying a bet across the afternoon’s racing. The customer feedback on Fantasy has been overwhelmingly positive and it presents a different experience and different way of looking at an afternoon’s punting. I would highly encourage you and your members to give it a go before dismissing it.
If there is enough traction behind Fantasy, we can develop out new features of private leagues, including League of League functionality, paid-for private leagues (effectively your own sweepstakes), and many more developments that wouldn’t be possible on the current Ten To Follow platform.
The feedback from you and your members is hugely appreciated and the core racing fans like yourself are the people we aim to serve. However we can’t do all things at once and the reality of development constraints and legacy tech systems are a reality that we have to operate within.
I hope you and your members continue to enjoy the Ten To Follow, continue to enjoy competing against each other in a Racing Forum private league, and against all customers in the main Leaderboard. Also as mentioned, I’d really recommend you give Tote Fantasy a go. It’s similar to a Placepot but you can’t go out in the first leg and gives you fun for the whole afternoon’s racing plus the opportunity to win a decent pot.
If you’d rather discuss any of this on a call, I’m always happy to chat and to hear from customers who care, as that is what I am first and foremost – a customer myself.
Best,
Jamie

Head of FantasyNovember 7, 2022 at 15:24 #1622141Hello to everyone
In my previous post about Fantasy Racing I did not make
it clear it was based on “REAL RACING” not virtual races.
However my problem is with the cost of £7.00 per entry. In my view this does not offer value compared with other
Tote Pools (ie Scoop 6 & Placepot)I would like to hear other views on this subject whether
in favour or not.Many Thanks
November 7, 2022 at 16:16 #1622146Thanks for posting up that reply from Jamie Benson Graham and for taking the time to contact them to try and
establish a League of Leagues. I thought it was a very detailed and informative reply and set out in great detail why they were unable to proceed as we all would have wished.
Totally understand their problem now with not fully owning the platform. The Fantasy Racing is not something I personally would want to get involved with even if it is real and not virtual racing. Personally John I would rather chance my hand on a couple of reverse forecasts somewhere or a tricast for £7 but if they do set up a League of Leagues within Fantasy Racing I would certainly take a look and make a decision once it is up and running.
Thanks again to Graham for all his efforts and let’s get on and enjoy our competition when it kicks off on Saturday..
Good luck everyone.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 7, 2022 at 18:18 #1622160Yep John and Jac, I understand your hesitance about a competition that would
be £7, and of course as it is a fresh competition each day so is a far greater
outlay than the £5 per competition in the TTTF. I feel obliged to have a couple
of goes to see exactly how it works as Jamie was good enough to take the time
to explain the problem with a TTTF League of Leagues. I wish someone had told
us some time back when I continually brought the subject up. However that’s
water under the bridge and at least we finally know where we stand. Some 5 days left for people to enter the competition, and as I’ve pointed out
before, if they choose to just do a free stable it will be treated the same
as a £5 stable so no reason not to throw your hat in the ring.Only 8 stables to date, but that’s probably normal with many stables put
in in the last couple of days. A free stable for the chance of a £50 win
isn’t a bad bet and if 20 or over stables, then £25 for the runner up.Best of luck to all
November 8, 2022 at 00:38 #1622214I’m in again BigG. Thanks as always for the excellent updates you provide with this. Really adds to the competitive side of the competition and adds to the fun.
Good luck to all
November 8, 2022 at 12:03 #1622239Great to see you back again MOM, some seriously good looking
horses in your stable.Best of luck
November 8, 2022 at 19:18 #1622286Hello again

Many Thanks
JohnNovember 9, 2022 at 14:38 #1622369Briliant John, thanks for that. I’ll definitely have a go.
Nothing to loseNovember 9, 2022 at 16:53 #1622381Thanks for your work on this BigG. My nerves are shredded just trying to enter a stable! Never did find a couple of the horses I wanted (though that’s sometimes a blessing in disguise). That said, it wasn’t as bad as last year and I think Bourne Losers are in. It remains a rubbish website though and I won’t be adding any more to the fiver that has been languishing in my account for the past 3 years for that reason.
November 9, 2022 at 19:52 #1622407It is the most punter unfriendly layout I’ve seen Catherine (Tonge). Well done
getting your stable on and the best of luck with itNovember 10, 2022 at 19:04 #1622470I’ve thrown a team in Big G, thanks for organising
I’ve had a few goes on the fantasy thing, personally I found it good fun and decent value. Especially for keeping the interest on the 4/5 runner races where otherwise I wouldn’t have a punt or probably watch.
As with all Tote bets if there’s more people playing, more money in the pool it would become more interesting and the top 30 or so get paid. I’d recommend giving it a go.
November 11, 2022 at 21:41 #1622600Hi BigG, Green’s Gallopers are in (after the usual But Where Do I Click shenanigans)
Numpty’s team name always gives me a laugh, which of ye are they again??November 11, 2022 at 22:49 #1622609Just managed to join! Thanks.
November 12, 2022 at 03:31 #1622634Good to see you managed to get your stable in Kendicate and thanks for the
heads up about the Tote Fantasy, It was my intention to have a go on Saturday
after Jamie Benson being good enough to explain the problems with the TTTF
for a League of Leagues. I’ll let you know how I get onNovember 12, 2022 at 03:39 #1622635Shenanigans just about sums it up Green, it’s a competition on it’s own just getting
through all the rigmarile. I was going to have a look at the fantasy the other day, but
I kept getting the message that I couldn’t enter as I wasn’t in the UK or Ireland. Last
time I checked Scotland was still part of the UKI did know before who Numpty Goes Jumping was, but I’ve got a memory like a hen when
it comes to names. Perhaps he could put his hand up -
